“Evergreen A-frame up in the winding mountain roads”
Reviewed November 18, 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Girls' trip! The cabin is rustic, but finished out. Living room sofa and cushy oversized chair are welcoming, views from large windows showed us deer and lovely woods. Cabin size was quite comfortable for the two of us and one large dog. Pet friendly! Crates are even provided should you need one. Bedrooms upstairs offer privacy, but no doors, so word to the snorers! There is heating upstairs and down, and a gas fireplace, so you can be as cozy as you like. Big front porch and a smaller porch on the second floor off one of the bedrooms provided opportunities for stargazing and wildlife spotting. Though there were other properties located on the same road, it was very quiet and private. Plenty of good hiking and parks nearby and Red Rocks not far. Our host, Michael, provided terrific information on things to do in area, and very good directions to the cabin. Communication with him was excellent and much appreciated. He was even able to accommodate our early arrival.

“Fantastic Cabin in a great location”
Reviewed November 12, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

This is a fantastic cabin just a short drive from Denver on a very secluded mountain road. It is in a beautiful location that is very private and quiet. It offers basic amenities, and has pleasant but tight living areas--probably better for just two people or a small family. The two beds are comfy upstairs, but no doors between the bedrooms. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep, and would present an issue to small children or those with mobility problems. Bathroom is small but workable with a shower. Kitchen is fine--with basic pots/pans/plates, and the gas grill outside works great. We were able to get Verizon cell service there, and there is Wifi, but the TV reception and channel selection are very limited. If you want to watch movies at night, either bring DVDs or bring a tablet to watch Netflix. If you plan to visit in snow season--rent a 4WD vehicle! The last roads getting to it are dirt roads with some steep hills and heavy turns--in snow a regular car would not stand a chance. There are a number of great parks and hikes within a half hour drive, and the town of Evergreen is just a short drive away. This is a great place for a weekend retreat or romantic getaway. Thanks!
