Owner description: Great mountain biking park for beginners

3 Sisters is full of various terrain and beautiful views and an abundance of wildlife. 3 Sisters is not too strenuous so anyone who is in decent shape should be able to easily transverse the hiking trial. Have fun!!!

We took an early afternoon hike in the park. We followed a couple of the shorter loops (Three Sisters / Ponderosa trail) which was under two miles, but got caught in an afternoon cloudburst/shower (not unusual during monsoon season in the Front Range of the Rockies). It wasn't bad, but slickers would have made it much more pleasurable. Rain in the Rockies is always cold (no warm, soft rains like you get on the plains) and we even had some small hail to go with it. Lunch at the Willow Creek Restaurant afterwards topped off the day perfectly.

Stopped by one day while passing through Evergreen, CO.
Pretty nice little trail system, could definitely use some improvements in trail design but not a bad ride. The route I took seemed a bit of a shorter ride but was talking to someone else on the trail and they said you could add on some miles if you start from evergreen lake.

We have hiked so many trails in the state, it is hard to pick the very best. This one is good though because it is close to Denver, so no need to pack up the car for the day....just grab some water and the right shoes and your on the trail in an hour or less.

A great place to take a short or long hike, awesome snowshoeing (especially on a full moon!), and alwasy popular with mountain bikers and trail runners. Keep your dog on a leash, as there can be some wildlife in the area, mostly deer and elk but occasionally a more aggressive critter.
