“An absolute GEM of a restaurant”
Reviewed March 8, 2012

My wife and I went to the Perfect Landing during Denver Restaurant Week or March 2nd. We were blown away with the quality of the food and service! We sat at the window over looking the runway at Centennial airport with a perfect view of the mountains as well. We both ordered the surf & turf dinner (for $52.80) which consisted of a 6 oz. lobster tail (grilled perfectly), grilled asparagus, red skin potatoes, the "perfect" salad, a crab meat cocktail (shared), and perhaps the best 6 oz. filet Mignon (bacon wrapped with herb butter) we have ever eaten. In addition to this amazing meal, the desert was included for each of us. A rather large dark chocolate torte with ice cream and whipped cream. Needless to say, we took some food home. They also served excellent ciabatta bread and herb butter with dinner. The atmosphere was excellent with a great vibe of people watching private jets land and take off. I also understand they have one of the best weekend brunches in town. I HIGHLY recommend the Perfect Landing as a special occasion restaurant or an every day restaurant (since prices are so reasonable). they have many specials and their normal menu is also reasonably priced for the quality. Our waiter was outstanding and the general manager spoke with most every customer in the restaurant to make sure their experience was "perfect"

“We always love this place”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

But unfortunately last night fell a bit short. First, atmosphere and service were awesome as usual. We met some friends there, who have never been, and really enjoyed their company.

Our waiter was very friendly and attentive however food wasn't the best. We ordered the 5280 special and my steak was overcooked, and the dessert was very bland. Our waiter however brought a new steak out in just a few minutes. My wife's meal however I'm told was very tasty.

This place has always impressed us and I'm sure we'll be back again.

“Ok, so the service isn't great, BUT...”
Reviewed March 1, 2012

This is a unique little place to go. We went during Denver restaurant week, so we chose from a limited menu, but they had pretty good options. We had some problems with the hostess not directing later-arriving-parties to our table, and even telling one couple that they didn't HAVE a reservation, and another that the reservation was an hour later. Yikes. And the service is slower than molasses in January, BUT the food was actually pretty good. What makes this a fun place to go is the view of the front range, being able to watch the private planes take off and land, and the piano bar atmosphere. We were lucky enough to go when one of the "regulars" sat at the piano bar and sang show tunes for us. She was an older lady in a flamboyant hat, sipping a martini, but she could still belt out the tunes. We had a fun time, in spite of the service, and enjoyed the food. It's definitely worth a trip out there.

“Great restaurant with a view of airplanes”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

I have been to the Perfect Landing about 20 times and went again last night. I had a great experience. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, they have six selected dinner entrees on sale for $12 each. You can also purchase a $12 bottle of wine (from a list of 12 wines) and get a second bottle for twelve cents. We had the 14 hands merlot and liked the wine. The second bottle has to be opened in the restaurant and then you can re-cork the bottle and take it home. We both had the filet wrapped in bacon, garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For dessert, we had the pecan pie which was rich and full of pecans. They were out of the key lime pie, another favorite. If you like chocolate, go for the flourless torte. The piano player keeps the restaurant lively and he is fun to listen to. Since you are at the Centennial airport, planes frequently takeoff and land during the dining experience. It is a good idea to make reservations for dinner.
