“Absolutely Nice & Clean”
Reviewed September 12, 2009

We stayed 5 nights here and loved it! The hotel is very clean with friendly staff.
The best part is the location. For us, it's only like a nice 10-min walk to our office and 3-min walk to the train station that takes us to downtown. The bridge at the train station also brings us to the Park Meadows Mall and it's just within walking distance.

Business center and free high speed internet are available too...making it another plus.

We'd definitely come back here on our next business trip in Englewood.

We (me, wife and two teenagers) stayed at this hotel for pleasure, while in town for a hockey/basketball game. We booked it through the internet with Expedia. I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The stay was very nice and the staff was super. They made every effort to accomodate us. My son really loved the fitness center, hot tub and indoor pool. He lived in the pool. The hotel is in a great location, very easy access to I-25 and surrounded by many things to see and do. We didn't eat at Charley's, never had time to. Overall I would say it was the best hotel we have stayed in, trust me in my line of work we do a lot of traveling. We had a great stay and would definitely reccomend this hotel, we look forward to staying here again.

Hotel was very clean and nice. The staff went out of their way to fulfill requests. The indoor pool is very small-almost hot tub size. The on site cafe was closed for dinner but not a problem as the mall is very close and many places to eat.

Large extended family from several states had rooms here for wedding in Denver. Staff very nice , helpful, and greeted us coming and going. The hotel is in an industrial area that seemed almost empty.

If you are a family reunion / wedding / social group looking to 'hang out and visit', etc.... do not expect there will be a bar here. Although I know this is a 'business travellers hotel', I was surprised there was not a bar / bartender for Friday / Saturday night. They could have made a MINT, as there were lots of adults looking to hang out at the hotel and visit in the evenings.

Perhaps management would staff the bar based on hotel occupancy and reason for travel (i.e. family reunions, wedding rooms) rather than adhere to Sunday> Thursday only. There is wine / beer / limited food items available for purchase in the lobby, and places to sit and visit. However the wine was quite expensive ($12.50 for 1/2 bottle).

Also it was strange to have a hotel be 'closed for lunch' on a Thursday, with so many rooms checking in ..... looking to sit down and relax on arrival. We went instead to the mall food court and got lost trying. Business-wise, our vacation spending dollars could have stayed at the hotel.

There were no restaurants that we could find, near to the hotel. It would have been helpful for the front desk to have a prepared list of places to go for lunch.

Main suggestion to them is - be more flexible with F&B depending on the occupancy and nature of the guests.

Indoor pool was fun for the kids but the fumes from the chlorine were overwhelming and we could not stay in there more than 15 min.
I have come to expect mini-fridges in hotel rooms but this one did not have them. Rooms were decent sized , clean, and had irons and hair-dryers. Room service was only available for dinner time; breakfast time would have been better for me.

Bathroom nice size and clean; but shower head was up too high
for a short person to reach.
Housekeeping was quite late (after 4pm?) on the 1st full day of our stay so we had to skip having the room cleaned.

Some kind of daily complimentary continental breakfast (i.e. fruit, toast, juice, coffee) would have been nice. There is a sit-down breakfast buffet @$12 which was fine, and the service was good.

  • Liked — Decent value, comfortable rooms, free parking, nice staff, free AM coffee
  • Disliked — No bar for family gatherings, not open for lunch, no comp. breakfast

I'm a frequent business traveler and this was my first visit to Englewood, CO. The Courtyard was clean and the staff was very accomodating. It's located next to a beautiful new mall, so there are plenty of upscale places to eat and shop. The breakfast buffet was very good. Unfortunately, lunch is not served, at least while I was there, but they have a selection of prepared sandwiches and beverages that can be purchased at any time. The fitness center is a bit outdated and worn, but clean and functional. Besides that, I'd recommend it for a comfortable and quiet place to stay.
