We had a party of ten for dinner at Zino's tonight. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere but without the good company and food the night would not have been as enjoyable. Probably because the employees were less than accommodating: the waitstaff and busboys were rude. An employee rolled his eyes at us at the request for water. While I understand such a big group can be hard to deal with, a paying customer should not feel unwelcome. We will NOT be returning. My advice: arrive in small numbers, eat quickly, and do not dare stay a few minutes after closing.

Really great restaurant. Yummy food and wine! Nice wine list with lots of options. I had a terrific linguini with lobster and shrimp.

The requisite pizzas are on the menu but they have a twist & are fairly large. I had a veggi pizza with pesto which could feed one ternager or two adults. They make cheese and the fresh cheese with garlic was very good. Eggplant Parm appetizer was noted to be "one of the best I ever had". The menus is not large but interesting. Those who think Italian sauce out of a jar is great food will be disappointed.

Don't go to Zino if you want a quiet romantic dinner or are interested in hearing the people seated on the far side of your table. Actually, this only holds true in the colder months when you can only be seated inside where the high ceilings do nothing to dampen the enthusiastic crowd enjoying Zino's interesting menu. In the summer, the patio seating is awesome! On this visit to Zino Ristorante, our party started with a nice bottle of Chianti and the Burrata appetizer which is a delicious housemade cheese served with grilled ciabatta and thin slices of tomato. Entrees sampled ranged from the Vitello (veal scaloppine) and Risotto to the Red Snapper special. The Red Snapper was absolutely delicious. The Risotto somewhat bland. We ended our meal with the excellant Dark Chocolate Crostata - a lovely flourless chocolate cake served with a mound of Salty Caramel Gelato. Great flavor combination. Most of the offerings should garner Zino a five-star rating but today it gets four stars for the less than stellar risotto and the clamor. They can definitely do something about the risotto - not so sure anything can be done about the noise. Our party was late due to a traffic signal issue along our route, but the hostess graciously held our table which we really appreciate and warmly welcomed us when we finally arrived. Reservations are recommended.

The pastas here are all good as are the salads. I had the cioppino this last time, and it was delicious, light but satisfying.
