“A Vail/Beaver Creek must!”
Reviewed February 25, 2012

Incredible snow-cat drawn sleigh ride from The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch up the mountain to Zach's Cabin followed by gourmet dinner, great wines, and delectable desserts. And, then, you get to go down!

“Not for lunch unless you are a member”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

We skied over for lunch, but only members are allowed in at lunch time. Might have been a slow day, only two pair of skis out front.

“DON'T waste your MONEY”
Reviewed February 6, 2012

This place was terrible. For a cost of $250/two I expect the royal treatment. When we were 1st seated, we were greeted by 3 servers said to take care f us - we did not see them for another 10 minutes to take our drink order. Since we were only given 1 menu, only 1 person was able to order a drink, so the server only took 1 order, delivered it then disappeared for another 10 minutes. We had to ask about dinner specials. The sommelier was seemingly helpful, until he did not return to actually pour our wine!
Appetizers - the server offered to divide the plates for me and my husband - when the kobe beef and salad arrived, it was not split. At the same time, the manager came by, asked how everything was, I asked him where our other 1/2 of salad and beef appetizer was, he just laughed and walked away!!! UNBELIEVABLE!
Dinner arrived, (my lobster was COLD, they remade it and it tasted much better), veal (take it or leave it), and duck were our choices.
Desert was non-existent and we had to catch the sleigh ride back.
Overall - this place was a disappointment - if you are a foodie, who enjoys fine dining, service and pampering of a $250 meal - DO NOT COME TO ZACH's CABIN.

“Wonderful way to spend New Year's Eve”
Reviewed January 13, 2012

We ate here 2 years ago and had a wonderful meal, so we made sure to book well in advance for New Year's Eve. The sleigh ride up is pretty quick (much quicker than Beano's), but fun for the kids in particular. We took an early sleigh ride so the adults ate from the 3 course menu while the kids ate from the kids' buffet. Everyone left with full bellies and smiles on their faces. Excellent food, good service, great atmosphere, and it's just that little bit different. The sleigh ride back to the Ritz afterwards caps off what is a very funy evening.
