“Hair in Food!!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

Thought I would try this place out, as a few of my friends had said good things about it. I do not know why it is called new--as it has been there for a very long time. We were not impressed by the cleanliness, or the staff--but worst was to come when I found a long grey hair in my meal. I unfortunately did not tell the scruffy waitress, as she was the one with the long grey hair, all over her shoulders---Would not go back---just felt a grubby place.

“Great value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

A favorite of mine for more than 20 years! It is a warm place to stop by the bar, take some carry out or visit with friends and family. Conveniently located in the heart of Edwards, there is plenty of free parking and they offer easy carry out or delivery. They have a creative special nightly, or just go for your old favorites. Don't miss the white jalapeno sauce and the caranitas. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly.

“Not so great service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2012

When we walked in, the hostess was chatting with someone blocking the entrance for us to get in. We excused ourselves and stepped in front of them not realizing that she was the hostess until she said she would be with us in a minute. She continued to talk to her friend or acquaintance and then actually stepped outside to continue talking! We stood there for another couple of minutes until the bartender said she would seat us as soon as she was done making drinks. The place was pretty much empty and surprised that it was such a hassle to get seated. The chips they served were stale. I ordered a taco and chicken enchilada which were good, not outstanding. But my husband had the pork tacos which were really good. The wait staff seemed nice and the food was decent but we won't be going back because of the service we received as soon as we walked in.

“New Mexican Style for a Change of Pace”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

Not Tex-Mex but New-Mex. We've spent considerable time in Texas and New Mexico and have a definite preference for the New Mexican version. Fiesta's might have trouble surviving one state south but offers a very good option for Colorado. We are particular about chili rellenos and like a flavorful poblano, with a light, crisp and thin batter and restraint on the cheese filling. These are among the best we've had outside of NM. The only negative we found was a relatively insipid red chili sauce. One caution, the restaurant has apparently undergone some changes of ownership in the past and the pattern of up and down reviews may reflect different owners. Prices are very reasonable and access off the interstate is easy.
