We recently did their 3 hour back country ride and had a great time. It was just myself, my partner and the guide. As others have said, they trailer the horses 5 minutes up the road and then you ride up the mountain to a big meadow area. Our horses were nice to ride and seemed responsive but very sensible too. They appear well cared for, which is very important to me. Saddles were comfortable and tack seems well maintained. The scenery was nice, we passed through aspen forest and had great views over the mountains. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable with a good sense of humour! I have been on a lot of trail rides all over the world and this was definitely one of the better ones. Be aware that the 3 hour ride does go up and down some fairly steep terrain (with some steep drops at the side of the trail), which the horses handle like pros but might be a bit intimidating for some people. We enjoyed our ride, the service was friendly and professional and overall it was great.

We rode on their hour and a half ride, and our guide was so helpful with our children as well as told us all the stories of the land. The views and terrain were spectacular. A great experience! What a fun day as they had drinks and snacks when the ride was over. We were able to relax at the ranch and take in the Colorado atmosphere. This is the place to go horseback riding!

Probably one of the better things weve done in colorado. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Trails were just perfect since we were not interested in riding horses on dangerous areas. They request a 15-20 percent tip on top of the prices, so add that into your budget. Horses seem to be taken care of. Go for the 2 hr ride, 1 hr wouldnt be long enough.
