Probably one of the better things weve done in colorado. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Trails were just perfect since we were not interested in riding horses on dangerous areas. They request a 15-20 percent tip on top of the prices, so add that into your budget. Horses seem to be taken care of. Go for the 2 hr ride, 1 hr wouldnt be long enough.

Don't go on the 1 or 2 hour rides. Go on at least a 3 hour. My husband and I went on a 3-hour back-country ride. They trailered our horses to a nearby trail and off we went. There were only 4 of us in the group, and our guide was so sweet (Becky). The views were amazing, and when we got to the high country meadows, she told us we could get out of a line, run around, explore, or whatever we wanted. It was nice to get to jog and lope on our trip! It was a bit more expensive than others, but well worth the price. The horses were well trained but not completely dead. They still responded to their rider's commands instead of simply following the horse in front of them. The views were spectacular- that's why I recommend the longer rides. Bring water and your camera- they provide saddle bags to store them in. There's a photo spot where the trail guide will take your picture while you're on your horse. Totally awesome trip!

We went in late May and the stables had only just opened. The trails have fantastic views of the mountains and there is wildlife to be spotted. However, the area is somewhat developed with housing (huge mansions) and a golf course, so you didn't get the in the middle of nowhere feeling that you can with some of the other ranches like 4Eagle.
We are experienced riders and I requested an "intermediate" ride, however the group was large (7/8 people) and had some total beginners in it. The guide insisted that we ride in a long line, which can get dull and wasn't what I requested.
Horse's were well groomed and well kept. Had fun chatting to Ty, who had just joined to be a guide so came on our ride. He was a true Colorado cowboy and I'm sure will be a great guide.
