“Good food, slow service”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

The food here is pretty good, the service however isn't. We live in Colorado and know that you need to make allowances when you're in the smaller mountain towns, but to sit for 20 minutes without getting anything to drink or being acknowledged in any way is pushing the envelope.

If you aren't in a hurry, this might be a good choice. If you are, you'd better move on.

“We wish we lived closer!”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

The Grand Avenue Grill in Eagle is a restaurant you'd like to have where you live and that you'd frequent often. It's a friendly place to meet for a beer or take your friends and family for a gourmet meal. The food was outstanding both in taste and presentation and, frankly, this was quite a surprise to all of us. It's a definite destination for the next time we head west on Interstate 70!

“Superb, pleasant surprise”
Reviewed February 4, 2010

Awaiting 2 hour delayed evening flight picking up wife at Eagle Vail Airport. Airport about deserted, but a local said Grand Avenue Grill was best in Eagle, a few miles east of Airport. I was not disappointed. A really good reasonably priced meal and a couple of glasses of house wine as well. The grilled catfish with sauteed spinach over rice was delicious. The service was impeccable. A very disverse menu including fish, steak, pasta, meat loaf, chicken, ribs, pork, burgers, soups, vegetarian, salads, sandwichs, wraps - something for everyone. 2 sitting areas: a cozy bar plus tables with a flat screen tv and a fireplace area down the short hall. We are renting in Avon about 20 minutes away and will certainly go back.
