We booked this hotel using the reviews thru trip advisor. What a disappointment. The place is a dump! We should have turned around and left when we arrived at the door of our room to find diry corn pads for feet and broken finger/toe nails all over the enrty mat. The bathroom was also a disaster. The tiles on the floor were broken and sticking up causing a hazard to barefeet. Then in the morning when we went to use the shower the tub did not drain well so we were up to our shins in water while taking a shower. Carpets dirty. Didn't feel comfortable without shoes. Also vey seedy apartments surrounding area. Couldn't wait to get out of there!

Wow! That hurts, the staff & I take pride in our work and property & I'm sorry your stay was not what you wanted. In the future please let the hotel know when you check in if you’re not happy. Our policy at the Quality Inn is, if you’re not happy neither are we & we would be happy to find another hotel that works for you. Regarding your stay, I did not find broken tile in the bathroom, what I did see was grout between a few of the tiles coming lose and it is corrected "sorry toes". The other maintenance issues have also been taken care of as well. I did try to reach you in an email and phone, but there has been no response from you, please contacts me directly if there is something more we can do for you.
Thank you Mary

The Quality Inn In Durango has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced from a motel. By accident, I left a battery charger and battery at the motel and didn't realize it until 2 days later when already back in Texas. To make a long story short, I called them, they found both items, and mailed them to me Priority Mail at their own expense. Also while at the motel, I asked to move from the first floor room to a quieter room on the second floor. Again, this was no problem. They cheerfully accommodated the request. They are obviously out to serve and please their customers whenever possible. Many thanks to Jackie, Marilyn and Matt for their can do spirit.

it's an older hotel and it showed. some holes in the curtains, the coffee maker didn't work, air conditioner was loud and ratted a bit but still i was comfortable enough. the outdoor pool is heated and it was perfect for a late afternoon swim. it's a small pool but i was still happy with my workout. plus, there was a bear in the tree next to the pool so what a wonderful nature treat!
front desk staff is super friendly and efficient. i didn't eat the breakfast but it looked skimpy. 3 cereal choices of fruit loops, cheerios and raisin bran. no fruit. some hard boiled eggs. i think there may have been waffles and there were some sugary danish things. definitely nothing if you're health conscious. and the coffee wasn't very hot.
good cable selection on the tv w/ hbo. shower was okay but took a long time to heat up. all in all, i would say it's fine but NOT worth $150 for a single queen bed room. Durango itself is a really neat town, a mix of old mountain town + eco friendly. i would avoid City Market and go straight to Natural Grocers. it's amazing!

Thank you for sharing your review on what we need to improve on. We do have plans to replace the curtains in the near future. I apologize that your coffee pot wasn’t working we just replaced them with brand new single serving pots, & I have had a few that just stopped working. In the future I want you to know that we do have a 24 staff to take care of any issue you may have during your stay or provide you with area information. Our breakfast does include two kinds of fruit we always have apple’s & either banana’s or oranges, maybe the bowl was empty? Not sure we do have an attendant to service the breakfast area as well. Sorry we fell below on the breakfast for you I will pass on the info so it doesn’t happen in the future. In the summer months Durango Colorado hotels tend to be higher than most areas. We here at the Quality Inn try and price our product to fit our market and I apology the rate received was not worth it for you. If you contact me personally at the property I would like to make it up to you in some reasonable manner. Blue Skies, Mary Hert/ Quality Inn 970-259-5373

This hotel may be a 2-star, but it is comfortable, clean, has good amenities and an included breakfast. Yes, it is older, but has been refurbished. Our room was smaller than other Quality Inns and on the ground floor not far from the main road and lobby. We were expecting to be noisy, but it was fine.

Their web site shows pretty well what you get. At the rear of the property between two 2-story blocks is the pool and to the side on a lower level at the end of the Northern block are two hot tubs. Even though flat screen TVs are shown on their web site, our room still had an older CRO-type TV. But, it didn't mean a thing for us, I don't think we ever turned it on.

Breakfasts are served in a sunny room above the lobby. Plenty of hot and cold choices, but got a little busy with a full house.

We had a great meal at the Fiesta Mexicana restaurant next door. Bright, colourful surroundings, good value huge meals and perfect margaritas! Great for a night either just the two of you or with a group. Recommended.

Thank you for sharing your review. Our king rooms are smaller than our rooms with 2 queen beds, if you can get by on a queen bed they may be a better option when you are staying several days. Again, appreciate you sharing and look forward to seeing you in the future. . Blue Skies, Mary Hert/ Quality Inn

Unlike several reviews, we really liked the location of the A/C unit being on the back wall. This design allows the cool air to flow into the room without blowing directly on the bed and it is not as noisey so we could hear the TV when the a/c was running. The area parking was a bit cramped but the outside area was very tidy. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable beds. I do find the breakfast on the second floor to be a bit strange. The supply of food was fine but it was far too crowded, giving the feeling of being rushed. We also think hotel/motel prices in Durango were far too expensive for what you get.

Thank you for writing a review. I’m glad to hear the air cond. placement worked for you. Come back & visit us Sept – May and you will find much more reasonable prices. It seems summer is higher for most areas but Durango with all its attractions runs low on room availability therefore price’s seem to be higher sorry. Again, appreciate you sharing and look forward to seeing you in the future. . Blue Skies, Mary Hert/ Quality Inn

This hotel has it;s problems especially if you are handicapped. While they do have handicap rooms their free breakfast, while plentiful and good, is UPSTAIRS. Upon booking that was not mentioned. Our room had an ordor and after we left they found a sewer problem which has since been fixed. Management made sure we were credited extra points to our Choice Privilges account. All in all a nice though older property, just be aware of the breakfast issue.

We stayed here for one night on a family road trip. We occupied two rooms that were clean and fine. However, both rooms smelled. We had to had the air conditioners blasting make it bearable. It seems to be a pet-friendly hotel, and the hotel doesn't seem to be able to get rid of the smell of the pets and soiling.
The breakfast was good.
