The hotel is located directly next to the historic Main Street district. It offers all services you need as a private traveller in this hotel category, such as a refrigerator in the room, free WiFi or washing machine facilities. Breakfast is included and a good selection is offered. We had a two-queen-bed bedroom. The room was small and dark. The bathroom was functionable but has seen better days and is partly integrated in the main room. We consider the quality as average given the price we paid.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I hope that you were able to enjoy the breakfast and the complimentary cocktails as well as the free parking. We are located downtown, withing walking distance to shops, restaurants, and, of course, the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge railroad. Our rates are at their highest point of the year during the summer months. Between October and May the rates drop to about 1/2 of what you probably paid for your stay. Please come and stay with us again . We will be redoing our bathrooms as well during the off season. There isn't much we can do about the size but the new tile will be a big improvement.

Again, thanks for the review.

Thanks for the great review. We do have some brighter rooms that face outside. Our indoor rooms in the atrium are not as bright. We are close to downtown and the train. Just park your car and walk. I am very glad that my staff was helpful. They are great!! Please come and see us again!

First off, you're paying for the location. From the hotel you can walk the entire downtown of Durango, which is a really fun town. You're also right next to the train depot, which is a major draw for many travelers. The slight downside to this is you'll smell the smoke form the engines during the day. The hotel itself I found to be pretty average. They have updated the interior of the rooms, which was nice, but they were on the small side, and still felt a little average even with the updates. Ultimately, i think my issue was the size of the room. The pool area is in inside, and in the middle of the hotel. Again, for kids it's nice, but judging my 5 year olds reaction to the pool, it wasn't her favorite. There was more 21-40 years old drinking in the hot tub than families enjoying the pool. They had an excellent breakfast room, with a nice selection of food in the morning. They even offer you complimentary cocktails at happy hour, which I was unable to take advantage of, but it was a nice touch. Overall, it's a good place for families if you want to walk downtown Durango and try restaurants, drink some beers, ride some trains, etc. A little pricey for the rooms, but again, I think you're paying for location.

Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel. We are an older hotel and the rooms do seem a bit small because we replaced all the double beds with the larger queen beds. We do have a great location for couples and families alike. You can walk everywhere and not have to worry about finding a place to park. I am sorry that your 5 year old didn't enjoy the pool. There generally are a lot of families in the pool. Especially in the summer months.

Again, thanks for the review. I sounds like you had a great time in Durango! Come back and see us again soon.

This was a great location and very comfortable. Plus, they had a fridge which was nice. The best part though was the pool and hot tub. It was nice and great for kids! They offered a reasonable rate (although there were cheaper places, but not with a pool and hot tub). The breakfast was pretty good and I always factor that into the price equation as well! Best place to eat was the Texas BBQ right down the street!!! Great BBQ. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, we had a fun group of kids and parents staying here and got to meet lots of nice people and hear about some new places! Priceless!

Thanks for the nice review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and Durango. The pool is great for families and the location of the hotel is perfect for those that want to park their car and not get back in it again until they check out. Everything is close by! All the rooms do have a refrigerator and a microwave. We also have the extra large fluffy bath towels in every room. The indoor pool and hot tub are great anytime of the year.

We hope that you will return someday and we appreciate your kind words and your business.

Our stay in early July in Durango was great. Indoor pool was good for the kids. The free breakfast bar was nice with pretty good food. The food service was great! The ladies were very friendy and helpful. One of those nice ladies turns out is the Sales Manager. Ginny was a gem!
It was nice to stay at this friendly customer oriented hotel.

Room Tip: Our stay was fun, clean and enjoyable!

Thanks so much for the nice review!! Ginny is a gem-you are absolutely correct. The pool is great for the kids and the adults can enjoy their complimentary cocktails while watching their kids swim!! It is a great set up. We have a ton of options for the complimentary breakfast and coffee is available 24/7.

We hope you had a great time in Durango (who couldn't) and you will be back to visit us someday soon.
