“breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

while in Durango visiting the grandchildren, my friend and I decided to stop by for a lite breakfast - the service was not speedy but the bakery delicacies were amazing - the coffe very good and the atmosphere a delight. Our waitress was training someone, but when asked what the building "once was", she was very knowledgeable. Saw Eggs benedict delivered to a couple sitting near us and will have a full breakfast next time, for sure. Met JP and he was a delight...a most enjoyable place.

“Great Breakfast Spot! Loved the Ambiance.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

Stopped for breakfast here and couldn't have been more pleased! the ambiance of the whole place is terrific and feels very rustic. I loved the front counter with all the pastries and breads for sale. We enjoyed it so much we came back later for wine at the bar and both times left very happy. I feel like this place is such a treasure in Durango! Thanks for making our trip memorable. I mentioned you on my review on Durango, who can go wrong with such a cute and delicious french place?! http://janethephilosopher.com/durango-co/

“Ambiance, Food & Service Terrific”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014

We just had the most delightful experience at Jean-Pierre. We have lived in Durango for nearly 42 years and it is always delightful to have a restaurant experience exceed your hopes and expectations. That just occurred. The owners and managers deserve kudos for the performance of their staff from the back of the house to the front of the house. Thank you especially to Maggie, Caleb and Jake for making our dining experience so right in every way. And did we mention...the food was delicious. Durango can be proud to call Jean-Pierre Bakery, Cafe, Wine Bar & Restaurant one of its best. Thank you Bleger family and restaurant management & staff. See you again soon.

“We always have a great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

We visit Durango every February and always make a point of visiting Jean-Pierre's. The pastries and macaroons (for a dollar!) are excellent. But the main attraction for us is Mark Simon, who plays Thurs-Sat nights. He is very skilled in several instruments and several genres.

We usually have the cheese and fruit plate, which is served gratis with a bottle of wine, an incredible value considering the ambiance and music. I was shocked to read the bad reviews of the wait staff in other reviews as we have always had great service. We especially appreciate the attentiveness of our waiter, Sean.
