I ate the Jalepeno Firecrackers for appetizer and the Shrimp Tempura Udon for my meal and they where both Great. Looks like they have a complete Sushi Menu as well.

“Best sushi in Durango, excellent but pricey”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

We went to dinner here on a Sunday night with seven folks. This is some of the more creative sushi around and surprising given their location in Durango. We tried seven different rolls which were all really good and 6 different starters; also all excellent (try the oyster vodka shooter for something unique). This was our third visit to ExSW over the last ten year, and they have consistently been excellent.

“Still the most unique sushi place around this area”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Great food again, service a little well, not energetic. But the ambience is still neat, and it's a neat all around restaurant. They do not have Escolar or Unagi, but that may be understandable due to their location.

“Over Priced”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

Ambience is very nice but the food is way over priced for the quantity. Good fresh Sushi can be obtained at Albertsons where it is made to your order.

“All-around Great Experience”
Reviewed June 30, 2012

Ate dinner the other night, party of 5 adults and a 3weekold baby. Had a reservation through Open Table. Table was ready, even had a stand for the baby carrier. Service was crisp, even though they were trainer a new server at the time. Intriguing menu, lots of sharing and tasting. Food was overall great. Adventurous chef, and his creations were top notch. Fusion of Asian, Southwestern, and Mexican. (Jalapeno Popper Tempura appetizers) This restaurant was become a standard visit everytime I come to Durango. Not cheap-dinner for five around $60pp with drinks. Well worth it.
