Description: Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

Good atmosphere and good choice of beers - we tried them all!!!

Food is good but can get very busy, however this helps create a real buzz.

Came to Steamworks on a Thursday night for dinner with friends. Our meals were excellent and we got great suggestions from our waitress for both food and beer. We loved the atmosphere, but the only complaint was a long wait (they don't take reservations) and slightly slow service. But overall we enjoyed our dinner and will likely return!

We stopped for a quick bite before hitting the road to Moab. I am generally skeptical of the quality of food at breweries. The food is usually similar and unremarkable. We had a surprisingly good lunch. Two of us shared the fish/chips and fish tacos. Fish/chips were good. Fish taco was excellent. My son had the veggie burger, which he said was very good. (He's a vegetarian, so he knows his veggie burgers.) And who doesn't loving eating peanuts and tossing the shells on the floor?

I liked this brewery. The food was excellent. I liked the beers. The service could have been better. A bit slow when we were there and it was quiet. Food was good. A great stop!
