Description: Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.

“Awesome place”

Coming from New Mexico we have a growing beer culture but Streamworks upstages everything. To start the server , Stephanie, knew her products to a tee. She spoke about the beer and described them perfectly. The pizza and salad were great and the steak on the salad was great. The Powder Daze porter, Backside Stout, El Diablo, and Conductor IPA top class beers. Thank you Steamworks.

This is a must every time we visit....it's always busy but you never wait long and the service is right on fast and efficient. Good menu choices for food, brew and wines.....and it's always delicious!

“Very good food and beer”

Steamworks is great. They have a creative menu with several items that are delicious. The beer is excellent, the wait staff is pretty good but I have waited in the entry for quite some time before a host or hostess greeted us.

“Best, most consistant food in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

Steamworks is always good, from nachos to blue cheese crusted steak. The beer is over the top good with the brewmasters showing imagination, mole stout is a home run. The service staff is attentive and the kitchen delivers a consistent product. Only complaint? It has become so popular that it can be difficult to get in on the weekends

“Always fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

Steamworks is a great place for Lunch, Dinner or a an afternoon cold one. The menu ranges from burgers to pizza to sandwiches and Mexican food. Its all good. Grab a basket of peanuts for an appetizer, They are free!. If your kids are along, they can use the chalk on the floor. We always enjoy eating their. If you can avoid sitting on the deck in the winter, you should, Even with heaters it can be plenty cold!
