If you like filet mignon and have a little extra money to spend, head to Ore House for dinner. The atmosphere is not white-tablecloth, but the food and service is. It's just a comfortable place to eat. And, did I mention that they also have a decent collection of whiskeys/bourbons?

We tried the Ore House which is quite small and is rustic with it's mining theme. We had the calamari which was very good and beef filet's wrapped with bacon, I can say it was perfectly cooked and delicious. They had a decent wine selection. I would definitely go back.

The steaks and sides were great. One of us got the special which was a sirloin that came with potatoes and spinach...and was very reasonably priced ($28 I think). And two of us got the small filets and shared three yummy sides...mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and mushrooms... which was pricey, but in line with the quality of the food. Atmosphere and wait staff were also very pleasant..although waitress seemed a bit harried. We would go back.

My husband and I went into Ore House on a recent trip to Durango. Brittney was the reason we decided to stay and dine there. Her suggestions were spot on, food was delicious and we will definitely be back! Thank you Brittney for a wonderful dinning experience!

We had dinner at Ore House during our visit to Durango, and although it was a bit pricy, the food was outstanding, as was the service. Top-notch service, and everything from the salad to the main course was very flavorful.
