“Small, Intimate, Wonderful!”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

Some warned us that this restaurant was very expensive, but NEVER NIND, the food was absolutely superb and the service attentive and friendly. Sometimes it is good to spend a little extra to get away from the usual tourist chains and pizza cafes. There was a nice variety on the menu and their beef was great. The atmosphere was so fun, typically Colorado Western, yet cozy and quiet, even though it was very very busy.

“Really good evening and a great meal.”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

You but confident and informative management and servers. Great surf & turf. Sides a little expensive but large enough to share. Great atmosphere. Turnmed out the manager had spent time in the UK in Titchfield, just a short way from our homes. a small world.

Walked in and sat at the bar. From the start, the service was good and friendly. The Bartender knew her trade very well, the wine list was great, and the kitchen made a masterpeice!! Thank you for a great meal!!!

“Best steak in all the West”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

The Oar House is hands down the best steak house in the West and Durango Colorado. And yes a little pricy but well worth the extra dollars you will spend.

“Pricey and not sure it was worth it”
Reviewed November 4, 2013 via mobile

Maybe I'm just a simple gal, but I found there menu to be a little pretentious. Upon arriving the atmosphere was cozy, a little "rustic" maybe. We were greeted right away and seated. The first thing I noticed was the pricey menu. The steaks are dry aged, and they were yummy, but at the end of the night, the $98 bill for 2 left a bad taste in my mouth. It was descent food and good service, however, I didn't think it was *that* good.
