You walk in and see a bar and not a high-end bar. In fact the rest of the resturant does not seem high end. It was certainly clean, very clean.
Remember the old saw, never judge a book by it's cover.
We started with the Fried Calamari and Artichoke Hearts with smoked jalapeno aioli -and- O'hara's jalapeno jam. It was out of this world good. The organic mixed green salad was great
The Bone-in NY Strip (28 day aged) and the Ribeye were marvelous - and we usually can easliy pass up on steaks - but we were in the west and we were at a steakhouse.
We went when all bottle of wine were 50% off - so we had an excellent cab
But the BEST part was all of the waitstaff. I wish I could remember our main waitress' name, but she was wonderful and it fact everyone who waited on us were supurb.
So if you are ever in Durango, maybe on your way to Mesa Verde stop in at the Ore House
