“Stopped in for lunch, going back for dinner.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is kind of a new restaurant in Durango (which has no shortage of great places to eat). I had heard some great things about it so decided to check it out for lunch. I had a delicious smoked turkey sandwich served with a "side' salad that was a very generous size. My 2 companions ordered different entrees and both were very happy with their meals. Ambiance is very nice, excellent service. Can't wait to go back.

“Great Atmosphere, Great Staff, and Great food and beer”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2014

The staff at El Moro are very enjoyable to be around. I usually am there when Bill and Elias are behind the bar and they are awesome. The great variety of beer is a huge plus to quench your thirst. The atmosphere is just the type Durango needs. I recommend this local establishment to anyone looking to have a nice evening out. Top Notch!

“A Beer and Quick Bite in Durango”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014

Read a write-up in the hotel magazine and thought we should give it a try. The restaurant menu has a cheese section that is unique. We ordered a five 2 oz bites from this section of the menu. Fun and tasty. The only complaint is the noise level. Once the extremely BD party left it got better but not a place for a quiet conversation.

“The best bar in Durango, with a really good restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2014

El Moro has it. Lots of people love this place, for good reason. Eclectic menu that works, in a renovated, historic bar that is sophisticated without being pretentious (cheesegraters as lanpshades filter the light). Best meal - seared sea scallops on a risotto of poblano chiles, butternut squash, pepitas and Turtle Lake pea sprouts for $18.

“Always a go to”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

We love this place! The menu is different and offers a meat and cheese plate which is great to share with a salad. You can order a manhattan happily here and they won't call it an "old man drink". Definitely a go to when visiting Durango!
