“YES! Excellent food and service”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We were warmly welcomed by the greeter and quickly seated. Our server (Derek) had an engaging manner and was knowledgeable about the wines and menu items. All four of us raved about our food. I wish all restaurant experiences were this flawless.

Best Jerk Halibut Sandwich ever, yum! The bread basket, curry squash soup, and mozzarella/arugula salad were equally as tasty. We will be back!

“The BEST in Durango”
Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I went to Ken & Sue's on a recent trip to Durango to celebrate our anniversary along with two friends who were celebrating theirs as well. From the moment we walked in we were treated so warmly by Sue and our server Dane. They immediately wished us a happy anniversary and brought us to our table where they had water set out for us. We began with a couple appetizers, the coconut curry mussels and chicken potstickers. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the sweet potato gnocchi with chicken and it was phenomenal. My husband had the steak and said it was cooked to perfection. We ate every bite and could have stopped there, but one look at the dessert menu changed our minds. The Creme brûlée was one of the best I've ever had, and our friends thoroughly enjoyed the apple tart and Molton lava cake with coconut ice cream. Throughout the meal, Sue came and checked on us which was a really nice touch. We found her to be so genuine and passionate about her restaurant. We enjoyed everything so much that we canceled our reservation for the following evening at another restaurant and went for round 2 at Ken & Sue's.
This time when we walked in we were treated like family! The previous night we had our picture taken at the table and they printed it up for us and had it waiting at the table for us. Our server the second night was Avion and she was great, too. I recommend the nut crusted grouper and the sweet potato curry soup.
Overall, the menu is very well done, the food and wine are top quality, and the service is stellar. Everything about this restaurant gets it right.
My only regret is that we had to leave this morning and weren't able to fit in one last meal at Ken & Sue's. The next time we visit Durango, it will be our first stop!

“We go here often”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

I just wrote a review for Ore House (stay away!!) and said everyone should go here or Randy's. Ken and Sue's is great for lunch or dinner and for the quality and quantity of food, the prices are awesome. The service is great and they make you feel special and valued.

“Delicious, fresh and lovely presentation- some gluten free”
Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

Don't miss the French onion soup. Although it doesn't have cheese it was delicious. We both had fish and loved it. Many items are gluten free. The service and atmosphere were wonderful too. They have some half bottles of wine too.

We didn't have room for desserts but they looked yummy. Molten chocolate cake needs to be ordered in advance since it takes about 15 minutes to make.
