Dinner for three after traveling 14 hours from sea level. Reservation was not required. We were. Seated at a lovely table with great views. The wait staff. was friendly and very accommodating. We passed on the wine list and ordered the spring rolls. The presentation was excellent, 2 rolls cut in halves and positioned around a nest of noodles, disabled drizzled with a delicious sweet, savory sauce.

The spinach salad with walnuts, dry cherries and white balsamic dressing was excellent m the ravioli with truffle sauce and shrimp entre were each likewise excellent.

Went for dinner after "Music in the Mountains "concert at ski area. Restaurant only a few minutes drive. Very pretty setting and comfortable space.Great place for birthday celebration. Owner/chef knows what he's doing.Small ,efficient kitchen puts out great food. Was a "When Harry met Sally" moment when the woman at next table tried the salmon.Staff very pleasant and attentive.Did anyone mention warm, baked to order chocolate chip cookies for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Enough said!!

Excellent steaks, so so crab cakes, well done seasonal vegetables, varied menu, including vegetarian alternatives.Comfortable ambiance with excellent service and a very adequate wine list. Enjoyable, if a little expensive, dining experience.

This was probably our 6th time to Sow's Ear and they never disappoint! We get the Filet au Poivre and it's honestly the best steak we've ever had anywhere. Their spinach artichoke dip is to die for too! We will definitely return whenever we are in Durango.

Appetizer portions are great for a light dinner. I had the smoked trout, which was a bit dry, but went well with the dilled cream cheese and crostini. My husband enjoyed the
crab cakes with crispy avocado. Limited wines by the glass, but large list of bottles. You can eat at the small bar.

NOTE for ADA issues. This restaurant is up a flight of stairs and it is a 2-level restaurant.
