My sister, husband and I loved our food and the friendly, efficient service at Chimayo. We started with excellent specialty drinks from the bar and the Chimayo pizza. The avocado, pulled pork, and peppers were a perfect combination, and the crust was crispy and just the right thickness. Then 2 of us had the pasta which was perfectly seasoned and cooked--the best I've had in Durango. (You can request to adjust the amount of heat in it.) My husband had the special, halibut tacos which he loved--a great deal at $12 for two big tacos. We washed all this down with a bottle of Kline Cashmere and were impressed by the reasonably priced, but diverse wine list. For dessert we had the banana tart which was wonderful. We could not have been happier with the top notch quality of the food, excellent service, and modest prices. Chimayo is a winner.
