Their fresh baked bread is delicious! I bought a loaf of sour dough and pastries filled with fruit (not sure what they are called, but they had powdered sugar on them ....so GOOD.) We also got an ice coffee.

“Robbie for MAYOR of Durang”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2012 via mobile

This hole in the wall artesian bakery is a gem. The bread is delicious and perfectly prepared. The pastries are good - not excellent (room to improve) and the sandwiches are killer. The star of this bakery is it's owner Robbie. His magnetic personality and passion for his craft and his love of his fellow Durangholes is admirable. This guy is an unrecognized champion for numerous local events and his generosity is unparalleled. If his bread was a campaign war chest he'd have a lot of dough in his coffers to take a run for Durango Mayor!

“Okay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

After all the great reviews, I couldn't wait to try Bread for lunch. The bakery items looked fantastic but all the sandwiches were pre-prepared. We asked to get one custom made without all the dressing and toppings for our kids. The clerk said they do not make custom sandwiches. In addition, the selection was very limited. They also don't take credit cards.

“Best bakery in Durango”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

We have been to Durango five times and no trip is complete without at least one (usually more) trip to Bread. First and foremost, it is a bakery. Bakeries bake in the morning and sometimes they run out later in the day. So get there earlier. That said, there is a reason they run out - the stuff they make is that good - especially their breads and their cookies. We have tried most of the menu and have yet to be disappointed.

“I will go back.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2012

The place wasn't very clean or attractive and the service was not good at all. But... The apple bread I had was amazing. I would go back based on that alone. A little pricey but great quality made it worth it.
