“Rip off”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

Bought 3 adventure passes. $40 each. 30 minutes later everything was closed and did not reopen. No refund. Nothing. I had my weather monitor with me. From 145pm to 3pm no lightening strikes in the area. At 3pm we gave up but an employee slipped up and told me it was closed not for safety but because the lift 4 fuse board was the last one they had so they shut it down for the most minor risk to protect the board not people. I gave up skiing there years ago. Why I stopped there with my kids today I don't know why. $120 bucks wasted.

“Summer fun potential if better run”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

A great location with fun activities but could be better staffed and organized. Found explanations of the summer ticket packages confusing and was not alone given the length of time visitors spent at the sales window. Another long wait at the ski lift for sledders despite a sparse crowd. Mountain bikers were given priority. The sledding was fun but I could not imagine taking more than a couple runs given the time it took to get up the mountain. A shame that the zipline was set up at the base of the mountain over people strolling the mall area when it could have been in a more scenic area. Still worth a visit with older kids and my older son had fun mountain biking. Some very nice vistas and for lunch the deli sandwiches were good and reasonably priced.

“Nice Summer Activities”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

Durango Mountain Resort offers nice summer activities for families. We took the ski lift to the top and then hiked down to the Alpine slide. The summer weather was fantastic!

“Summer fun for EVERYONE - all ages!”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

OK - so it was very touristy, and summer meant most of the shops were closed, but the activities were great. Alpine Slide was awesome - downside was the lines for the lift (but there was off and on rain, so...) We would have loved to make more runs for the price of the All Day Adventure Ticket. And I have to mention the DIGGLER SCOOTERS...! These are like Razor scooters on steroids! Big bike tires and handle bars, disc brakes, front and back... The adventure, though! you go to the top of the lift and ride down one of the ski runs....! Exhilarating, not for the faint-hearted, really fun! This 47-year old dad kept up with his older teen sons...! One complaint - they need to open up a longer, higher run (there was only ONE run you could really take...)(they are a little extra cost, too)

“Durango Mountain”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

We enjoyed Durango Mountain Resort very much, but be aware that the ticket does not allow you to ride all of the amusements for an unlimited number of times. Some rides are unlimited on your ticket, but others are not. This should be made clear at the time of purchase. Otherwise, it's a great place for kids and teens.
