Beautiful scenery. Numerous trails. Excellent mountain biking and cycling. Good terrain for horseback riding. Friendly people.

Amazing forest, it is just breath taking! I spent several hours and didnt want to leave! This forest is a must see, not too sure if Id make that trip in the winter :)

I love the San Juans! If you hike or backpack, this is the place to go. There are an abundance of trails from which to choose.

It's an amazing drive from Durango to Ouray. We loved stopping in Silverton for shopping and exploring.

rugged and beautiful mountains! what's not to love here. there's many spots to view just breath taking views and so tall tall trees; still saw no wildlife though; scenic byway is just beautiful
