Description: Conveniently located in historic downtown Durango, the Embassy is a local favorite. The pub is authentic Irish - every piece of furniture, every picture, every glass was shipped directly from Ireland. So if you’re wanting to take a trip to the Emerald Isle without leaving town, stop on by. Enjoy a 20-ounce Imperial Pint of Guinness, a tasty serving of our famous fish and chips, or listen to a traditional Irish jam.

This is pretty close to an authentic Irish Pub with rich dark wood bar with Gaelic sayings carved above. The food is very good and the portions are huge. You really could share entrees and both be full but you will want to try more than one thing. The fish and chips are excellent, as is the cottage pie and the cob salad is loaded and simply enormous.
Service was outstanding. The locals are very friendly and welcoming.
Thought it was a bit pricey till we saw the portion sizes. Based on that, its a value. Well worth it.

The food was just OK for me and my wife. I had the Bangers & Mash. The bangers were overcooked and dry. My wife had a hamburger and it was just "OK".

The beer was good though - Guinness and Blank-and-Tans were tasty.

It has a cool atmosphere inside to where it really feels like an Irish pub. I would go there again for drinks, but not for their food.

We stopped by for some Irish cheer and were pleasantly surprised by the great food as well. The portions are huge and the beer was tasty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I was surprised they had no reubens. Aren't Reuben's Irish! No corned beef and cabbage either. They did have many other Irish specialty dishes. The Guiness on draft was great !!
I would go back in a heartbeat!!
