I've been to lots of little downtown areas across the country and this one is really unique. Naturally you'll find the typical tourist stores, but there's also a bunch of unique little places and great food. You have to pay to park, yes, but to be honest it's less than every where else I've ever visited so it wasn't a big deal to me. I live in a tourist town in Florida and pay $15 to park every time I go downtown. I always think residents should get a discount cause we pay taxes, but it keeps the city alive, so I pay my share like everyone else. Don't let the parking deter you from visiting here. It's great.

Thanks for the review! Parking gets tight in the summer, but there are always spaces available. Downtown Durango dot org slash parking for tips. Thanks for visiting!

There are lots of food places and it is all old west architecture. Nice to walk around. Parking is sometimes a problem.

Thank you for visiting! Downtown does get crowded for parking and everything in the busy summer months, but no matter the month there is always parking available. Check out Downtown Durango dot org slash parking for tips. You can also take the Main Ave. Trolley to Downtown, only $1 per ride.

They sometimes have bands that play. We enjoyed wood fired pizza and a crab slider with a side of potato salad. There are lots of other choices too.

Those food trucks are at a place called 11th Street Station, located at 11th Street and Main Ave. It is a great addition to our Downtown. Thank you for the review!

We loved shopping! There are so many great shops and wide diversity in items for sale. Everyone we ran into was awesome. What a delightful shopping district!

Such a cute western town. I wished I had more time for the adventure. Only able to eat dinner at an old hotel. I would have loved to take the four hour train ride.
