The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is located in Downtown, and has daily excursions plus a FREE museum. The Strater Hotel is also in Downtown and has been in operation since the 1800's. when you walks in historic downtown , any thing is clean and a lot of different stores , restaurants , bars etc

I love Durango's downtown. There are so many people down there, and it is filled with shops and restaurants.

So laid back...love eveything in walking distance. Durango natives are not the friendliest folks we ever met.... but the folks who have moved here from other places make up for it. Overall would love to come back and visit again.
