Packed with locals, and with a friendly attentive staff, this is a great diner for a local breakfast! It is fun, tasty, and a great way to absorb the culture of this cute town. Farmers and ranchers rub shoulders with professionals and the few tourists lucky enough to have discovered the place. Oscar's is near downtown (close to the Strater, the Durango Downtown Inn, etc.) and we were able to walk to it from our hotel before then walking to get on the Silverton train.
We went twice, and both times the food was excellent. It's just really good diner cuisine -- nothing fancy but well executed. And the service was really friendly and quite fast. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed!
