“Amazing museum, informative staff”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Was here on a volunteer work project with RoadScholar, but we got to spend time in the museum and walk to the pueblo on the top of the hill. Museum has great exhibits, interactive things to do, even kids would enjoy trying to weave a Navajo rug!
The museum is located high on a hill, and has a terrific view. This is also the headquarters for Canyons of the Ancients, but we didn't have any interaction with them.

“Very informative”
Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile

We have been to many of the Anasazi ruins but we learned so much more here. The displays are well done and informative. This is a must do for anyone interested in the ancestorial puebloans.

“First Stop Must”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is a must-stop if you plan on visiting any of the local archeological sites. The center is open year-round (except Christmas Day). The background information provided here will enhance visits to Hovenweep, Sand Creek, Mesa Verde, and many other archeological sites in Colorado. The staff has put together two videos that are available on demand and an excellent, hands-on preview of what visitors can expect to find at the other sites. Special educational group access may be provided to small educational groups (university) with prior approval (book very early). The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made this stop a real joy.

“Worth a Look”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

If you have limited knowledge of the ancient people of Colorado, this would be worth a visit. You'll get the basics. The staff is friendly and helpful. The trails surrounding the center lead to several ruins. Overall, the center is well kept and organized.
