The oven fired pizza was probably some of the best I've ever had. If you like pizza, I'd highly recommend theirs.

“Really delightful...where are we? Not Divide, CO!”
Reviewed January 21, 2012

Had heard mixed reviews about this restaurant and wasn't sure how it would be! We were pleasantly surprised. Dined on Saturday--Prime Rib special--and arrived around 6:00. Briefly waited (5-10) for a table in the dining room. Waitstaff was a bit slow, but we are sort of impatient, so she was probably fine. She was friendly and attentive to the kid we brought along, and we appreciated that! BBQ shrimp appetizer was a disappointment--not spicy at all. But the prime rib ($18.95) was quite good--garlic smashed potatoes, horsey sauce, cooked perfectly. Very nice cabernet as well. When we left, the outdoor fireplace with clever windblock was roaring, so we stayed for Irish coffee outside.

The pizza served to other tables seems to be a good reason to return! We'll be back!

“A is for Attitude”
Reviewed January 8, 2012

as new residents to the area, we were trying to find a new favorite close by - sadly, mcgintys made a poor first impression. the hostess/waitress threw a huffy fit when we requested a booth instead of the table in the middle of the almost empty restaurant and inches from the only other guests (a family with several kids) she had chosen for us - complete with eyerolling and menu slamming down on the booth and then stomping off. she later gathered her bearings and came back loud, shrill and fake-cheerful. gimme a break! the food (fish and chips) was ok .. greasy and overwhelmed with thick batter - not good enough to bother with on a regular basis. its a 5 min drive to friendlier places in woodland park. don't need this!
tip: - if you are having fish and chips - the cup of chowder comes right along with it .. so one or the other is doomed to get cold. try to ask for the soup ahead of the fish .. just be prepared for a tantrum from the waitress.

“Great spot! Great food! Great Beer!”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

We ate here twice during our 3 day trip to Divide. We had appetizers the first night. The beer cheese dip was fabulous and the Angel Wings were pretty good too. Loved the Beehive honey wheat beer. The next day we went for dinner and had the same beer and split a pizza. I forget what it was called, but really good. Had 1/2 and 1/2 pesto and red sace with a bunch of veggies including artichokes. Too much for 2 people, but leftovers are always good. Loved this place and really reasonable prices too!

“Casual dining at a reasonable price with generous portions.”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

McGinty's is a relatively new place in Divide, Colorado. The restaurant is divided into two parts: a section with dining next to the bar and a separate section just for dining. We have been there 5 times and have dined there with parties of 2 to 4. On every occasion, the waitresses were attentive, even replacing the house flavored iced tea with regular iced tea when requested. The food consists mostly of sandwiches and pizzas, many of which we have tried and all of which were excellent. Sandwiches come with a choice of salad, soup, or potatoes--a nice touch for the health-conscious. There is also a daily special and a few deserts, which we haven't tried because we were full when we finished the meal. The bar has a good selection of beer, wine, and other drinks.
