“Never Knew it was so big and beautiful”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

All the times we went into Dillion to eat on our way up or down the mountain...or went past on 70, we always saw this "small resevoir" and thought that was it. To see it you need to stay of 70 for awhile and take the Dillion Dam Rd for a surprise to see how big and beautiful it is. Definitely worth the detour. You can hook back up onto 70 easily.

“Bike route”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Amazing 30km around the Dillon reservoir, riding in the morning with amazing views not only from the lake, but mountains, little flowers, nice woods. Definitely an outdoor activity to do, rent a bike and take your camera!!!!

“Beautiful spot!!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

The area clean and well maintained...with 26 mile paved path around the lake. Plenty of activities. Very nice little park and amphitheater at water's edge. Close to Frisco and Breckenridge for daytripping. Great restaurants close by. A really nice vacation spot.

“A change of pace amidst the mountains”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

We drove around Dillon Reservoir while visiting friends in Keystone. There are many lake-side eating and drinking establishments, a number of parks, marinas in Dillon (a large one) and Frisco (a smaller one), and boat rental places. Fishermen can be found is every cove and inlet. There are a number of sailboats and weekends finds it full. There's quite an interesting story (too long to relate here) about its construction and the controversies around relocating the old town of Dillon because it was flooded by the reservoir. Don't miss it if you are in the area.
