“Not half bad but definietly not half good!”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

This is a bargain priced hotel with little or nothing other than the price to commend it. The building was built a while back and now showing its age from the decrepit noisy room AC (one of those all in wall units) to the huge fridge/freezer that could be used to store food for months that chugs away relentlessly day and night. Don’t stay here if you don’t have a car, there are no shops, cafes or 7-11’s in walking distance. The Stapleton Mall can be seen from the property but there are 2 major hi-ways between it and the hotel. Even if you make it to the Mall apart from Target there is not a lot there. Fridays is on the edge of the Mall and serves a nice selection of American food but it can be 30 minute wait for a cab to take you the couple of miles back to the hotel.
Should you be travelling with your four footed friend then this hotel is ideal because it caters for pet owners who have their animals with them.
This is a low cost property that offers a reasonable room with clean sheets and in room coffee.
It is not half bad but it is not half good.

Room Tip: No good if you don't have a car choose somewhere else

We always stay at this hotel when we go to Denver. It's affordable, near the interstate so it's convenient to wherever in Denver you might want to go. The staff is friendly, the bed is comfy. The hotel is very quiet and clean, although there was a slight musty smell throughout the hotel. It went away in the room as soon as we cranked up the air. I wonder if this was because of the recent heavy rains and flooding in Denver? The breakfast buffet gets skimpier every time we stay. They had bread for toast, danish, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt and instant oatmeal. A bagel and cream cheese would be nice. I'm sure we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a non smoking room

I wanted cheap & I got it. The tired, worn, plain property would only work at a very low rate. I thought it was appropriate. First non-smoking room smelled of smoke, second room 1/2 the channel selector button on TV remote inoperative. I'll bet it'd be hard to find an area where everything worked perfectly; but the room seemed clean, bed comfortable, noise level low, the property safe, the shower hot & that's all I needed & I didn't try much else. Hard to find sub-$50 rates in any major city & I beat that by a considerable amount. All in all? sub-par property at a WAY sub-average price.

Room Tip: Even numbers are farther from the busy street noise.

I've been staying at this place since April. Why so long? Work. They claim high speed internet. That's an outright lie. You won't even get through a YouTube ad without being disgusted. If you stay weekly they clean weekly. But then they swing through at random and lock you out if they don't like something. Good luck finding out what it is, though! They've raised their rates about %20 in the past 6 months. The only perk at this place is the kitchenette and location.

Staff had to put me in another room as the door lock did not work. The ice machine was not working on our floor, or the floor below. I mentioned this to a member of staff who did not seem interested, but I was overheard by a guest who told me that he had found one working on the 2nd floor! The room was reasonable although no soap had been left in the bathroom. There was a good breakfast area, where a continental breakfast was available.

We stayed here during a 2 week trip up north. The room was large, clean, everything worked well, good A/C. The halls and elevators were dirty. The breakfast was great, deluxe with fruit and yogurt. It was a good value for Denver.
