I am kind of used to chain hotels - each chain having a particular level of service and no more. THis is a wonderful surprise. The staff at all horus, in all ways wa 100 percent on top of it and helpful and charming and pleasant - even with dumb requests. Regardless of the hotel this staff should form a management team and teach other hotels.
Room was huge more than adequate and convenient to the services i needed . THe pool, courtyard area, ball rooms, all are in top notch shape and well appreciated by the people there. The lunch room is well used and provides very good food and for breakfast too. The wait staff is all better than good.
I was there for 6 days and saw several different sets of people serving and they all did well. Although this is not rated as a 5* hotel, it provides service well beyond what people come to expect from a 3 star hotel without all the excess price- oh it is pricey but not the same as if it had a 5 * rating .
Only one quibble the whole time- the meeting ball rooms all seemed to have the thermostats set to "popsicle" - trying to get them adjusted was a bit of a chore but not impossible. During my stay it wa easily 95 in denver - so perhaps they were being pre-emptive - stepping outside for a breath of "fresh" air from the ballroom meant you had a thunderstorm forming around your head from the temperature differential .
The inner courtyard by the pool is a great place to do tai chi chih, yoga, morning stretch- its quiet and mostly unused by people.
I was travelling with my service dog ( yep real live service dog) and thought it might be a problem here. Not one problem at all - other than finding something that wasn't gravel or asphalt for my dog to use as a restroom. A short walk beyond the hotel found some grassy swards so all was good. Staff had not one issue at all and was more than helpful setting me up with an easy access for my dog and me.
This hotel looks like yet another concrete monster in a strip of hotels in the same area - but give it a serious look the next time you are in Denver. It's location is convenient to both downtown, as well as Boulder access ( I had to be in 3 places that week and this was central)
Wifi for hilton honors was fine- I still don't know why in this day and age hotels still charge for wifi but if you are a hilton honors member you get free basic wifi which wa just fine.
