Check in was very slow, only one person on the desk at check in time for 172 rooms. The Ramada shares facilities with the Super 8 next door and both seemed to be filled for the eclipse. My room was non-smoking but the hallway smelled of weed. The view from my windows looked out on the meeting rooms roof which had scattered trash. Went down for breakfast at 6 but they were late opening and not really stocked until 6:20. The hotel should have anticipated that guests were very anxious to get on the road to avoid the eclipse traffic and had breakfast laid out on time. Breakfast did include canned fruit and made to order omelets in addition to scrambled eggs and sausages.
The only decent thing about this hotel is its location. It is filthy. One morning I put on a pair of white socks and walked around my room for a while. When I came to put my shoes on I realised my soles were black. The bathroom sink leaked when we arrived and it took 2 days to repair it. It never drained properly. The room wasn't serviced at all on the 1st day there and the coffee was never replenished during the whole stay. The TV didn't work, 2 lights were broken and the wifi was useless. The breakfast was dire. There was little choice, the tables were dirty with waffle batter all over the place.
Ok. Everything was ok except staff, they were great, and cleanliness, floor was nasty. I showered and my feet were black after walking around barefooted...wear shoes at all times.
This property should be shut down. I'm amazed Ramada would allow its name to appear on the building. It is decrepit and looks like a crack house. The sole employee at the restaurant was so hostile to me that I left without dinner. The front desk clerk was wonderful and very helpful and friendly. The maid was also nice. They should be working in a decent hotel.
