“Hotel needs serious updating”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

I was shocked when I arrived at the hotel. It is very rundown. Needs serious updating. I'm not picky when it comes to hotels. I was surprised by the condition because the reviews were good. Couldn't stay here had to go somewhere else after booking it online. Didn't get a refund but there was noway I could stay

Only stayed here one night because a connecting flight from Denver to Houston got cancelled. My mother-in-law stayed here for a week on business and booked my wife and I a room here for the night.

We were very impressed! Great spacious room with a kitchen! Decorated very nicely and they provide a happy hour and milk and cookies around 8pm!

Located in the heart of downtown with a restaurant and Starbucks attached to it on the first floor. So you don't have to go to far to either get something to eat or coffee to drink. The breakfast they have in the mornings is great also. A variety of foods from waffle/pancakes to fruit to cereal/pastries.

Highly recommend if you want to stay downtown!

The Magnolia experience was great, we showed up mid afternoon on a Friday and were pleasantly surprised when we opened our hotel room to balloons, champagne and a "Happy Birthday" banner hanging on the wall, all compliments of your Concierge Erin. Needless to say it was a great start to a fun filled weekend. We were very happy with the location and were well within walking distance to the various Downtown Denver restaurants and bars.

Hey Dan M,

Happy BDay! Erin is one of those "ninjas of happiness" - she sneaks around, making everyone's life better. It's encouraging. We're glad we got to make a special day even more so and look forward to your next celebration.

Hotel is in a great location . Close to all the restaurants and shops. Short walk to Coors field. Room was comfortable and the mattress are of descent quality. Evening Beer and wine is a nice touch. Descent morning breakfast My only negative comments are the walls are not soundproof. Could almost make out the conversation of the guest in the next room. They woke me up when they arrived back to their room at 2:00 Am and they talk and laughed until 2:30 Am before I could get back to sleep. AC fan noise very loud. Make sure you turn it off before you go to sleep. Besides that the stay was great.

Hey Frank S,

Thanks for the review. It managed to balance the pros with the not-so-pros, and gives us something tangible to work with. The sound quality has been noted and our wall people are looking into it! We appreciate the balance and look forward to having you back.

Best,
Ryan

After a long day of work and travel we were amazed with the sight of our room and the service. The room was large with full living room complete with fireplace, super comfortable large couch and chair; kitchenette; humongous walk in closet ; large bathroom and a dining area to boot! The staff was great; friendly and informative as well as tall and attractive - a pleasant bonus :). If I ever return to Denver I will most certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: We don't know how we got such an amazing room.

We had a really great experience at Magnolia during a recent weekend in Denver. It's located right downtown, walkable to many other hotels, restaurants, 16th St. Mall, and a short $5-$10 taxi ride to both Coors Field and Mile High Stadium.
I'd best describe it as a boutique hotel in an old downtown building, remodeled to be comfortable and contemporary.
The service was very good, we loved the milk and cookies in the lobby from 8-10pm, our room was simple, clean, and roomy (king size bed, standard room), valet parking for the car was easy and reasonably priced (I think right around $30/night which is pretty standard for city parking).
The price for the room was great, and we would definitely stay at Magnolia again.

The service, quality and value at the Magnolia Hotel Denver is truly unmatched. Their evening reception, cookie bar and morning breakfast bar add an extra special perk to your stay, all free of charge. The hotel is gorgeous. The suites are amazing and if you sign up for their special deals you often get stellar prices/offers. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The valet service, although quite expensive, does a great job and is a helpful service considering how difficult downtown parking can be. I have nothing but great things to say about the Magnolia!

Room Tip: If there is a deal or if you can afford it, their upgraded king suites are amazing

Hey FitzBrooke,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We just gathered around this computer and read out your review to our staff, and we all started clapping at the end of it - (except the valet thing, we addressed that) - I mean, it's like you told the world how great we are and that's powerful. Thank you - you're welcome back anytime -
