Lopved this hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Very modern decor, the rooms were comfy and very clean. Breakfast was good very, nice area to eat in with waterfall and Cookies and Milk were a nice added touch in the evening. It is in a great location for dining and shopping.

We stayed for just one night while waiting to catch the train to San Francisco. The hotel is full of character and not one of the anonymous modern type. Very nice room, spacious and clean with a good bathroom. Everything we could want. Sadly ruined by the noise of the tram/light rail outside. The bell rang every time it stopped, which went on late into the night and started early the next morning. When we checked out I told the desk clerk who said she was sorry, but that was about it. I was a bit disappointed with that. They must know about the problem, so I think they should have offered a slight discount as we didn't really get to sleep apart from the few hours that the tram/light rail didn't run.

Room Tip: Make sure that you get a quiet room. Our stay was spoiled by it being too noisy. It would otherwis...

I usually stay at the Marriott when in Denver, however due to the debate I had to stay at the Magnolia. The rooms have been renovated and the hotel is a little on the older side, but overall the stay was good. Room was spacious, staff was friendly. Breakfast was included and quite nice. For the price difference I will be switching to the Magnolia for all of my visits to Denver.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Nice older hotel -- beds were comfortable, staff friendly and it's a good location. But the rooms, bathrooms and general quality of the property are not up to par for 4 stars. Would give it 3.5 if possible. There was a wedding in the lower, public area so perhaps access to that area that would have added something, but the main floor lobby is lacking - small, with minimal, uncomfortable furniture.

Room Tip: Higher floor; "courtyard room" means you're looking into the room REALLY close across...

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location with amazing service and devotion to their guests. This hotel was more than we had bargained for with complementary happy hour, milk and cookies, and continental breakfast. We were more than satisfied to the staff's devotion to us having a lovely stay with them. We will definitely be staying here again. Not only was it an amazing hotel with amazing amenities, it was in a great location and we could walk everywhere we needed to go! We had such an amazing stay.

Spent a friday night at the Magnolia in Denver as a birthday celebration for my husband. We had a king suite with was more like a condo. Nice full kitchen and a living room separate from the bedroom. Accomodations were nice if a tad worn. We were on the 2nd floor facing 17th street so it was pretty noisy. Hey, it's the city. They have a nice cocktail hour with a few types of beer and wine. You can buy small bites from the adjoining bar, Harrys. We didnt make it to the warm cookies later that night, so no opinion there. At about a quarter til 7am we were abruptly woken up by the fire alarm. Had to stumble out of bed and get dressed and make our way down the stairs to the lobby. I suppose we could have worn the bathrobes provided. Without learning what had happened the fire dept secured the bldg and we returned to our rooms. Since we were already up we made some coffee in the room and relaxed until around 8:00 when the 2nd alarm went off. Big sigh. So much for a relaxing saturday morning. We just decided to go and take advantage of the included breakfast which was scrambled eggs, ham, waffles and oatmeal with breads and made to order omeletes for an additional charge.

I will say that the staff was great and worked with me on an in room amenity but when questioned about the reason for the alarms upon checking out, we were told there was dust on a bulb or some such thing. In other words some technical difficulty of the hotel. She didnt know what the 2nd one was about. Other than that, it would have been a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room away from the busy street noise.
