We stayed for 5 nights over the 4th of July....and WOW.
WOW!!
This hotel knocked my socks off, and I'm pretty hard to please. Our plane was very late, and we checked in at 2:00AM.
The night desk man Eric( or Aaron?) was wonderful, from a warm Carolina's accent, to SUPER friendly and helpful. 5 minute check in, and we got into the room. Clean, spacious, and no refridgerator as specified in our reservation. One call to the desk? And, no lie, only 7 minutes later?? The Southern gentleman who checked is in...is at the door carrying a fridgeIN HIS ARMS (that he unplugged from the break room), and putting it in our room!! And apologising for the screw up/ and our wait time!! (Mr. Magnolia GM? Take notes here, this man might get poached from you very soon...give him EXTRA money so he will stay...)
I still had my coat on, and was prepping to do my mandatory bed bug CSI type inspection I do at ANY hotel prior to unpacking..
I tore that room apart, and there were NO SIGNS OF BUGS!!
(I have found them in 5*hotels and even Castles, yuck!) So we unpacked, and had the BEST vacation ever.

Nice rooms, great baths/showers. Fab AC control, clean, quiet, comfy beds, great Frette linens, and all the pillows you could need, and more. Safes, big closets, nice toiletries, extra charging plugs in all the lamps for your electronics, AND? The Front Desk answers the phone by the 3rd ring.
Hot Breakfast Buffet is FREE!!! It is nothing short of amazing, and when we overslept and missed it?? This amazing staff member Geraldo , saw that we were disappointed and were headed back to our room? HE chased us down, took our order (HELLO?? This is a self serve buffet.) and was back in 4 minutes with a beautiful breakfast for 3 attractively arranged on a tray for us to take to our room!!!
Geraldo was nothing short of amazing, and the Magnolia Hotel GM better reward and promote him,PRONTO.... or somebody is going to headhunt him ...right outta that establishment!!

More reasons to love this hotel??
FREE SUV shuttle service, we didn't need cabs!! Car service men are AWESOME!! So helpful and considerate. (Hotel GM? Take notice.)
Good security. As a woman who travels alone, this is important to me. ALL staff were visible, aware, and ON IT. This is rare, especially at chain hotels in my experience.
Housekeeping was outstanding, and the ladies were SO NICE!!!
Free wine at cocktail hour!
KILLER free hot from the oven cookies, and chocolate, plain, or strawberry milk bar every night! Am SO lucky I didn't gain 10 lbs.!!
Nice, CLEAN gym with a sauna.
Convienient downtown location, safe area for families, as well as for a woman walking around alone. Located in 16th Street mall area, so everything you could need is in a 6 minute walking radius.

I cant say enough about this wonderful hotel, and I must say?
THE STAFF IS SIMPLY AMAZING!! From maintenance to the desks. And? I am hard to impress! I have never paid so little, for so much perfect value.
I wont even look at other hotels in Denver, there is simply?? No need.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper flood to avoid the usual city traffic noise. We stayed on the 12th, it was perfect...

Stayed at the Magnolia for 4 days in June 2012.
Nice rooms, excellent location in downtown Denver -15 minutes walk from the convention center, and around the corner from the pedestrian shopping street.
The only criticism that could be made of the hotel would be the strong smell of food overflowing from the kitchen to the lobby area.

Great location! Valet was quick in the morning, and cookies/milk were a great treat.

This place has an amazing location, directly on the light rail. The hotel is beautifully appointed, and the room was amazing. We had a suite, and the kitchenette was sleek and modern, and the living/dining area felt very spacious and comfortable. Free wine/beer happy hour, and free milk and cookies at night. Breakfast was ok...eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, and then your average continental fare.

Room Tip: If you are getting a suite, I heard that room numbers ending in "16" (i.e., 416), are the...

The rooms are small, the views are of other buildings and there is no pool...however those are the only complaints we had about the Magnolia Hotel Denver. We loved the central location (within walking or cabbing distance of downtown and LoDo). The staff also was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast & happy hours as well. We'll absolutely consider staying here again the next time we are in Denver.

We really enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff friendly and accomodating...asked and received an early check-in and late check-out. Bellman very helpful in coordinating our return transportation to the airport. We were in the mood for pizza at 10:30pm and the kitchen was still open in the bar and the bartender so accomodating. Our room was so comfy and relaxing and the breakfast was quite good as well. Water in the lobby with cucumber and fruit in it was such a nice touch. Location was perfect as we walked everywhere. Too bad we only were there for one night!

Room Tip: For just a little more $, choose a suite.

We stayed at the Magnolia for our anniversary and were extremely satisfied with the hotel and the service. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a fireplace suite, which was a nice touch. The evening reception and breakfast buffet were great.
