this was a cheap and convenient (location wise) option for us so we decided to stay for a night. the room was very basic so if you're not expecting too much then it's fine. the best thing was the gym and free continental breakfast-the woman working in the dining room that morning was very friendly! the front desk was also very pleasant.

Overall, i wasn't thrilled but I wasn't completely disappointed in our stay here. I understand and was told at the front desk they had undergone renovations and were finishing up some areas. I was disappointed to find out the hot tub and pool area was closed; it was one of the reasons we were going to stay there...after hiking and skiing it was going to be a nice relaxer. When we got to our room, it was clean and had enough space. Having been told it was newly renovated, I was surprised to find some oddities in the bathroom. The curtain rod on the shower wasn't on quite right (it made the curtain sink to the middle and not close off at the ends) and the shelf in the shower wasn't fully attached. Mainly aesthetics that I didn't expect after a renovation. The rest of the room was good. I love that they do a Project Planet, to reduce water usage and use less detergent.

Breakfast was decent, just cereals, bagels/muffins, yogurt, waffles, etc. Was hoping for more protein but they had all the other foods in stock and kept checking on it.

So, not the most memorable stay as nothing really excited me about it, but it got the job done.

Room looks new - it's clean, quiet, modern nice tv.
Front desk nice.

Are there some - it could be better.

Parking - the garage - it's tight getting into spaces - but it's a semi-urban hotel - so they have to park in a garage vs. a lot. It's snowing now - and in some ways, being in a garage is better as my car will not be frozen over.

The shower - water didn't stay hot for long and water pressure poor.

Breakfast room small and the offerings typical fairfield - except it lacked the refrigerated fruit cups. The staff was exceptional - nothing ran out.

I'd definitely recommend and stay again.

This hotel is in the middle of a renovation. Everything that's been renovated looks beautiful, and I'm sure when it's all done the place will be amazing!

What made us happy about our stay in the Fairfield Inn was the people we interacted with. Specifically, Rick at the front desk and Janice in the breakfast room. We got stellar service that really transformed our stay.

We stayed here in 2006 for about 3 weeks. I was a little creeped out by the 10th floor, it had a weird energy. But other than that found out stay to be comfortable.

One day at 3pm in the afternoon, we came back to the hotel and came through the back entrance from the parking garage. We approached the bank of elevators. A women came around the corner from the front desk area and turned into the right elevator. I remember her face to this day, she was a wiry older woman with short hair wearing pants and a short sleeve shirt. She had something under her arm, like maybe a purse. She had bad posture, rounded shoulders and was walking briskly. She looked right at me, made eye contact, and was scowling with her mouth open. My husband also saw her. We went in right after her and the door closed and suddenly she was gone. We looked over and she totally disappeared! We were so freaked out we went to the front desk and asked the guy there if anyone reported strange things with the elevator. HE said "oh you mean the ghost elevator". He said its always going up and down on its own and that a woman had jumped from the 10th floor matching the description of the woman we saw!

To this day we will never forget that experience, it was the day we became believers in ghosts!! We have stayed there again a few times recently but never saw her again.

Room Tip: 10th floor is haunted!

They are in the middle of a renovation. The renovated rooms are nice but they haven't update the ancient heating system. When it goes off, the noise is unbelievable. And it goes off every hour at least. We could not sleep. Plus it is in a rough neighborhood. There are all kinds of construction workers staying at the hotel who come in filthy and ogle you. The parking makes you feel that you better empty the car as it is in such a rough neighborhood. It is full of the construction workers trucks and you can barely get around them as the parking is so narrow. The breakfast was mediocre. I would not stay here again. I did not feel safe nor did I feel my possessions were safe.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

Thank you for letting us know about your experience with our hotel. I would sincerely like to apologize for the inconveniences that you encountered. Our staff takes great pride in the services we offer and unfortunately we let you down. I am pleased to say though, that while our renovation proved challenging in many areas, it is now complete. The renovation included all guest rooms and public areas and the hotel looks fantastic. While I can not change what occured during your visit, I would love for you to give us a second chance to see what our "new" property has to offer and our high levels of customer service. Please contact me personally if there is additional feedback or if I can assist in any way and we do sincerely hope to see you again in the future.

The place will look great when the construction is finished. The construction never bothered us while we were in the room. During the weekday, the workers didn't go unnoticed (in parking gsrage, hallways, etc) But when we had a problem with the heat In our room, the front desk was very quick and helpful in getting us another room. My biggest complaint, like others have said is the traffic noise from Colorado blvd. the overall traffic on the road is horrible too, and we wished we would have found the wlternate routes sooner.
