“A fun hotel conveniently located to the Convention Center and downtown”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

The Curtis, a theme hotel now operated by Hilton's DoubleTree, is one of our favorite hotels in Denver. It continues to be an upscale hotel at a reasonable room rate that provides large, well decorated rooms, spread across themed floors that include the Dance, Science Fiction, Horror, and Simpson's floors. You know you've arrived at your floor when the voice projected over the speaker announces your arrival. The "Here's Johnny" for the Horror Floor is particularly amusing. And, as you arrive at the ground level and leave the lift, a version of Bobby McFerrin's "don't worry, be happy" keeps you smiling. The hotel has instituted an eco-friendly policy where you can advise the cleaning staff that you'll reuse your towels, helping Denver save water. Although this is a great idea, following other hotel chains' efforts to be "green," the absence of any towel racks in the bathroom prevents you from hanging up your wet towels to dry over the day while you're gone from the room. Hence, in effect, once you place the towels on the sink counter, the cleaning staff replaces them. If, indeed, the purpose of towel reuse is to promote ecologically friendly visitors, the hotel needs to provide towel bars or hooks in each bathroom for such use. Good intentions, poor execution.

This hotel is fabulous! I would highly recommend it for anyone staying in downtown Denver. Self parking was not offered at the time of my stay and Valet was a bit pricey. Loved the rooms and the themes on each floor. This hotel had a very warm and welcoming feel. It made us feel at home! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The best!

Very nice hotel and friendly people. Easy to do business with. Room lovely,roomy and clean So close to everything could leave the car parked during stay. Will stay there again when Downtown! The bar is small and when crowded it was very noisy and hard to get service. A small thing but needs mentioning. Newspapers at the door to our room very much appreciated. Looking forward to another trip to Denver for an event ...

We can't say enough about how wonderful our wedding at the Curtis was! Our wedding was stress-free and perfect! Stephanie and Sarah are amazing, knowledgeable, and so fun to work with! The food served at our wedding was delicious, and the hotel ballrooms were so beautiful. The staff and the beautiful hotel made our wedding one to remember!

Nice clean upscale hotel with lots of amenities and well located. Friendly, helpful staff and decent fitness club. Food is good, but not a large variety. Conveniently located for nearby shops and restaurants in downtown Denver.

Couldn't have asked for more- reservations extended the group discount into dates that weren't included, the bed, linens and towels were perfect, internet seamless, and the room was clean and quiet. What more does one ask for? Great price plus great service equals great value.

My husband and stayed to attend a friends wedding at the Clocktower. Great place to stay and the hotel and room were very clean. I would suggest a coffee pot and refrigerator for the room. My biggest pet peeve is a hotel bathroom without a wall mounted make-up mirror. If you added those three items, I would say you are golden. Loved the corner office bar. The service and wait staff were outstanding! I love great service and you will definately receive it at the corner office. The happy hour drinks and food were very good. I am going to miss my nightly french connection martini. My husband and I were a little disappointed that the airport shuttle we were promised arrived every 15 minutes starting at 5:00 am, never showed on a departure. We were thankful for a waiting driver at 6:15 and negotiated a price so it all worked out in the end. I like the theme of the hotel, it's different and fun. Overall, I would stay again. I highly recommend, SamsNo3 Diner on Curtis (food and staff were amazing); The Rio Grande on Blake Street, FreshCraft on Blake Street, Syrup on 18th Street for Breakfast, The Ale House on 16th and for an amazing experience make reservations and go to Williams & Graham on Tejon Street! If you go to Denver and miss an opportunity to experience Williams and Graham you will regret it!

Hi Pinkelgal;
Thank you so much for your recent review! We always apprecieate the feedback and this only helps to make us better. All of our guest rooms are being upgraded over the next few months and rooms will now include a mini-fridge. Our guest rooms do currently have complimentary coffee, so we are investigating why this was missing from your room.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments on your experience at The Corner Office - we have shared these with the team.
