The Curtis Denver - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

The Doubletree "by Hilton" on Curtis in downtown Denver, Colorado is a fun and funky hotel. Great themes on each floor, the elevator has different sounds in each floor. Staff are friendly and helpful, the attached Corner Office Bar/Restaurant is upscale but, anyone can go and enjoy themselves. The room was well kept with a couple of issues, the air vent in the bathroom was filled with giant dust bunnies and I kept thinking ewwwww I'm breathing that stuff. The shower head was not secured to the wall and dangled a little bit. Overall the room was comfortable, the cleaning staff was friendly and willing to change out towels, bring extra pillows....etc. The location was perfect for attending the convention, within 1 1/2 to 2 blocks from the hotel is the convention center. A quick walk and you are there. They even encourage Pets, they put up photos of the pets staying there as you walk in the door along with dog cookies and a water dish. Lots of fun energy at this place. Would highly recommend it to any of my family or friends.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the Curtis. If they are faking their enthusiasm, then they are the greatest actors ever! And even if they are just acting, I'm ok with it because the customer service was unbelievable. Side note - the fitness center in this hotel was excellent as well.

Hi Laura S!
Believe it or not....there are no trained actors at the Curtis. :
We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the hotel (and the beer festival I'm sure) and we can't wait to welcome you back the next time you are in the Mile High City!

This hotel is not the traditional large property but a smaller funky one. The hotel is situated at a great location, staff are super friendly and helpful and the room is nice and clean. The funniest part is that the elevators 'sings' when it has reached your floor. Each floor has a different theme - may scared people a little bit but overall was actually quite cute. I've never had any elevator 'sing' to me. Although the hotel is smaller than many other ones, but there are PLENTY of staff ALL the time standing by to help you out. It is amazing how many staff there are on the floor. Would definitely recommended it to others and would definitely stay at this hotel when I come back.

I went to Denver for an Expo and my US colleagues reserved a room in this hotel for me.
When I arrived I was a bit surprised by many strange things, such as dog food in the entrance, the singing lift, ....
In the end it's a standard hotel with a few differentiating points that create a pleasent atmosphere. For instance that any floor has a decoration theme about movies, finctions, etc. Moreover they provide a question (mine was about the first videoclip broadcasted by MTV) with the door badge and in general they try to help you to "unlock your inner child".
Best points imho are: staff, really friendly and warm, and location in downtown near Colorado Convention Center and the 16th Street.
Bad points: no towel hanger (why????), no fridge (again why????) and slow Wi-Fi connection.
Other features are more or less standard and the room is big enough and pleasent.

Try it!

Room Tip: From higher floors you can enjoy a goo landscape with famous Colorado mountains.
