“Pleasant Stay - Handy for the Stockshow”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We stayed two nights here in January as its quite close to the Stockshow arena and we wanted to see the Rodeo. We'd visited Denver before and didn't feel the need to go into the city again so this was a good location for our needs. Like previous reviewers we found it difficult to get to even though we could see the sign of the hotel - very frustrating! We were greeted very warmly by Kelsey on the front desk who gave us 3 or 4 locations on where we could get an evening meal - nothing in walking distance though. The room was clean and comfortable as we would expect from any of the Marriott chain. We did get some noise from the highway as the building is located just off it but it didn't spoil our stay. Breakfast was a selection of hot and cold foods - we chose scrambled eggs and bacon with wheat toast and it was quite tasty - self service with waitress for hot drinks. We had booked the room with breakfast but when we checked in we discovered it was breakfast for one only - very strange - but Kelsey changed it for us so we could both eat!

Thank you for your positive feedback. We will be sure to share with our staff. They enjoy being recognized by our guests. I am glad you enjoyed the National Western Stock Show. It is one of our staff's favorite events and love engaging with our guests. We understand the challange with GPS systems getting guests to our hotel and not always the most efficient routes. We do email out directions to our guests prior to arrival if a reservation has an email listed. Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to being of service to you on your next visit to Denver.

Right off the freeway, but check your directions, a little tricky to get there, and down an old road. Front Desk Service was great, with suggestions of where to go to eat in the area. Bed was comfortable, and made our long trip the next day a little easier.

We are visiting with family in Denver and by chance found this Marriott right where we needed to be. Front desk young man very polite and helpful. Great rate, very quiet, very private with nice courtyard. Wish the offered free breakfast but glad we stayed.

This hotel is a bit old and dated; although rooms have been updated, the lobby and general areas continue to look old and out of date.

Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was new and clean as well. Exactly what you'd expect of any Courtyard Marriott property.

Location is perfect for business in the surounding areas of Denver, as it is right on the entrance to the freeway running east-west on the north side of town. Drive to downtown is about 15 minutes with normal traffic.

Room Tip: Rooms facing inward on the courtyard are a bit quieter

Thank you for taking time to comment on our hotel and our staff's great service. We are anxiously awaiting our hotel renovation. It will include our lobby to reflect "The Bistro" and our rooms will also be renovated and updated. Our staff takes great pride in keeping the upkeep and cleanliness of our hotel to our guest's expectations. We look forward to being of service to you again on your next visit to Denver.

The hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable; though I found the small pillows annoying. For a King bed, I could have used some larger (longer) pillows.

The televisions are flat screens; but could use a tech refresh--but still, at least they are flat screens.

Not much really within walking distance. More less in a warehouse area. There is a shopping center; but it is a bit of a trek. You should have a rent-a-car or your own transportation. I was relying on taxis, which through no fault of the Courtyard, was its own adventure.

The staff was polite and professional. The maids did not replace the bottle of water I had drank (there was only one 1-lter bottle on the counter) on the first night. I had stayed for five nights.

I would stay again if I had my own transportation and was doing business in that particular part of town. I did not use any of the facilities such as the pool, gym or spa.

This was a nice hotel and some of the rooms have balconies. The staff was very friendly. Was there for concerts at Dick's Sporting Goods arena and it is not far from the hotel. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores a short drive away. Finding the hotel is difficult as you must make a left after passing over the road leading back to the highway. It is easy to mess this up.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony.

Hotel is located in an industrial area where many trucks are parked. Sort of a truck yard. It was very difficult to find (especially at night when I arrived) and it took me some time to find the entrance even though I could see the sign of the hotel from the road. There are no eateries or shops within walking distance so you definitely need a car to move around. As hotel is tucked away it is a fairly quiet property.

Room is not the newest but still nice enough and the bed was comfortable. Overall, this hotel had a good set of amenities and we enjoyed our stay here.

Pro’s :
-comfy bed
-free wifi in rooms
-nice indoor pool
-computer and printer for use in the lobby
-coin operated laundromat

Con’s :
-odd location
-no fridge in the room
-no airport shuttle

Thank you for your positive comments about our hotel. Enterprise Car rental did have several trucks parked here temperarily while they were in the process of relocating their commercial truck division. We did have conversations with them about this due to blocked access and concerns about the safety of our guests while driving. They have been very cooperative and being much more considerate. Our hotel is tucked away in the corner, but often referred to by guests as a small oasis in the midst of the buildings and traffic. Our Courtyard is a hidden treasure enjoyed by guests and the hotel landscaping is fresh and up to date. Thank you again and we look forward to being of service to you on your next visit to Denver.
