“Good hotel in excellent location”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Stayed here for two nights at the beginning of a tour. The hotel is in an excellent location, perfectly situated for exploring downtown Denver. The room was clean, comfortable and had good facilities. The included breakfast was also good with a wide range of hot and cold foods. I would certainly stay again on a future visit to Denver and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Stayed here during meeting in Downtown Denver. Rooms were the smallest I've had for a Comfort Inn by far. Rooms were ok as far as comfort but for the size, not worth the price. Breakfast was good and the front desk was helpful.

Worst part was the parking. Had a valet person walk by me three times and grab someone elses parking permit before I walked down to the little office and handed it to them.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a tour and found the hotel clean, comfortable and in the centre of Denver. Two large beds in a large room. Bathroom had many nice absorbant towels and endless hot water for the bath and shower. Breakfast was limited in choice but more than sufficient particularly as it is complimentary. Queues were a few minutes long as everyone needed to be out at around 8a.m. but the buffet sevice helped a lot. One draw back was that the hotel had only two lifts for 21 floors.

Room Tip: Choose lower floors for quick exit and entry.

We stayed four nights at this property during our anniversary vacation. The first room we were given had a very broken down mattress that was not usable. They moved us to another room that had a much better bed, but a hot water faucet on the sink that leaked and a shower head that didn't work properly. The bathrooms are in desperate need of remodeling. The first room had a hairdryer and GFI outlet directly above the sink and right beside the shower! The second bath had the hairdryer removed. Neither room had a working drain in the tub/shower - you had to remove the entire unit when you took a shower. We chose to just stay in the second room since the bed was an improvement. A fire alarm went off right before we left for dinner one night and the elevators were disabled for more than half an hour after the "all clear" was given. We asked, but were never given an explanation for what happened. The breakfast bar is quite good, staff was nice and the location is excellent for enjoying downtown. Just be aware that the bathrooms won't be up to snuff and check the mattresses upon entering a room.

We stayed here before catching the 8am Amtrak train to Glenwood Springs. We found both the young male and female staff to be very friendly and very helpful. The complementary chocolate chip cookies at the front desk were yummy! Breakfast was enjoyable.

Our room was on the 22nd floor and it was very comfortable, quiet and clean.

The taxi rank is just across the street and the doorman called one for us and it only took a few minutes to reach the train station. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to catch the early morning Amtrak train to San Francisco or Chicago.

Love the property and location. Rooms are small because of downtown location, but it is a great place. Discount for restaurants at Brown Palace a plus. Clean and great staff. Good breakfast too Bbbbbbbnbbbbbbbbbbnnnnbbnnnnnnnn n. n. n. n nbbbbbhnjjjnbhhh

This is a great place to stay in downtown Denver if you don't want to spend too much. Near the capital, the art museum, 16th street mall. 16th street has a free shuttle bus, so it's very easy to get around. I have stayed at a lot of Comfort Inns and some of them are pretty bad. But this one was surprisingly nice. I found out when I was there that it is attached to the historic Brown Palace hotel (was built in the 50's I think, as an addition to the Brown Palace and called the Brown Towers). Staff very friendly and helpful. And like I said, location location location!
