“Great place and fine location”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

I enjoyed my stay at the Castle as I was in town to take in a Rockies game. This is a fine location as Coors Field is easy to locate from the residence. The room was very nice and the innkeepers very happy to provide information. Breakfast was very well done.

Thank you for staying at the Castle Marne while you were in town for the Rockies game. Did we win? We appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your experience. Even though we say on the web-site that the Raymond is the smallest room in the house, that hot tub and large private balcony is hard to beat, especially for the price. Glad you enjoyed your stay. How about coming back to Denver for a Bronco's game? Let us know and we'll make your reservation.

Go Rockies and Broncos!

Very charming B&B. The staff is very friendly, helpful and charming. The breakfast is great. They provide tea and cookies in the afternoon, and you can sit indoor or in their lovely garden.

We stayed in the Raymond Room, which has a private balcony with a hot tub. The hot tub was great, but the room was very little, so we felt cramped. We had to coordinate our sleep, turning in the same direction at the same time to avoid bumping knees. Other than that, the stay was great. Walking distance from good restaurants, nice ambiance.

Room Tip: The Raymond Room has a hot tub but is tiny, I would prefer a normal sized room without a hot tub.

Thank you so much for your review, we appreciate hearing from our TripAdvisor guests. Glad you worked out the coordinated sleeping arrangements. We realize that the standard double bed is cozy, but isn't that private hot tub great? Please let us know the next time you'll be back and we'll assist in selecting the perfect room for you; larger room, larger bed and perhaps even a hot tub again.

Speaking of Afternoon Tea, I just took the shortbread out of the oven. Can you smell them?

Looking forward to having you back again soon.

If you are looking for a classic B and B with all the right touches, this is the place for you. Everything fits the perfect fantasy of the perfect B and B. Decorated in keeping with the romance and history of its era, the Castle is comfortable, luxurious and gentile. We stayed in May, for our anniversary, and the memory of the breakfast and the evening tea with delightful treats is still with us.We loved the balcony, and a family of squirrels that romped along the grass and up into the trees was delightful and entertaining! The hosts are warm and welcoming and we felt like we met old friends. We will be back!

Wow, what a great review, thank you very much. You are welcome to come back anytime. By the way the family of squirrels sends their regards. When can I tell them you'll be back?

We're just setting out Afternoon Tea, the house smells so fantastic! Let us know when you're coming back.

We stayed at Castle Marne for one evening in early August 2012 and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted by a rather young (high school junior) host who welcomed us, carried bags, and told us of the history of the castle and its architecture. There were evening tea and home made cookies available and breakfast seatings at 8 and 9, although I overheard them making accomodations for someone who required an earlier seating. The room (Presidential Suite) was lavishly appointed in Victorian decor that almost matched a period photo of the room hanging on the wall. The room had been improved with a jacuzzi tub, updated bath (shower), and also had a balcony over the front entrance of the castle. Breakfast was delightful, again served by young staff with manners and courtesy expected in a 5 star hotel. Please do not hesitate to stay at the Castle Marne.

Thank you so much for your gracious review. We are pleased you enjoyed everything and for sharing your thoughts about the "young staff". I'm not sure who was working while you were here, but I've hired our 3 teenagers and their friends. We are quite pleased with the level of professionalism they have. We are also pleased you noticed. They will do very well where ever they end up in their lives.

We trust you will be back soon. Let us know and we'll make sure the Presidential Suite is available.

A pretty victorian style B&B with lovely decorated rooms. The hosts were extremely friendly and considerate. The rooms are so comfortable and I love the Jacuzzi on the balcony. I originally ordered a tower room and was free upgrade to the Van rise room with a lovely private balcony attached to it. The stay was awesome and I would highly recommend!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Van Cise room. Did we tell you anything about Adele Van Cise, for whom this room is named? Her son was at the Battle of the Marne, a turning point in WWl, in northern France, along the River Marne. Adele was turning the mansion into an apartment house and needed a name for it. Philip was reminded of the castles and manors built along the River Marne so they name the house after it.

How about that hot tub? Pretty great, right? You would have enjoyed the Tower room but the Van Cise room is my favorite. We are so pleased you wrote this review. We appreciate hearing back from our guests.

Please let us know when you'll be back.

I stayed in Castle Marne last month (July, 2012). The people in charge are absolutely lovely and always willing to help you with everything you need. The place is magical, every single part of the Castle will fascinate you. The garden outside is magnificent, full of beautiful flowers, perfect to relax.
I stayed in Melissa's Room, one of the loveliest room I've ever stayed in (queen size bed, private bath, telephone, wardrobe, gorgeous decoration).
There are lots and lots of different places to eat nearby, supermarkets, a Walgreen's, shops, and you can get to downton in like 10 minutes (aprox) by bus.
Breakfasts are super special, they always prepare something different each day. They also offer you tea in the afternoon. The service is excellent!!
I had a wonderful time in Castle Marne and I wanna thank all the staff for making my stay perfect!!

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay in the Melissa room. The room is named after me. The dresser and a few other items were in my bedroom when I was a little girl.

Please accept my apology for not responding to your wonderful review sooner. I am quite embarrassed that I am getting back to you a year later. I am very sorry. On behalf of the family and staff of Castle Marne Bed & Breakfast, we look forward to having you back with us the next time you are in the US.

Warmest Regards,
