Three generations of a very kind family welcomed me into this beautiful castle. The attention to detail and warm hospitality made me want to go back. I stayed in the Holland Suite and had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and I so enjoyed meeting people from all over the country and chatting a bit before we all started our days. Tea and sweets in the afternoon and Sleepytime tea in the evening were the perfect touches.

Another wonderful review from a business traveler! Thank you so much for your kind words. On behalf of bed and breakfasts everywhere, thank you for seeking out inns like us when you are on the road. It is you and our other guests that make our business of innkeeping so rewarding. There is a cup of SleepyTime tea waiting for you. Just give us a call when you're ready.

We had our wedding here and it was amazing. We are from Texas and had to do the whole thing online and via phone with Melissa, she was outstanding, took care of all my wants and anticipated all my needs. The food was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly. We LOVED it thank you so much!

We stayed two nights the first week of May. The location is excellent; even though it is just a block from Colfax, the neighborhood is very quiet and safe and an excellent Thai restaurant is only a block away. We stayed in the Conservatory room on the first floor and were very happy with it. The afternoon tea was especially delightful in the Victorian living room, while the sleepy time decaf tea hit the spot after dinner. The hosts were gracious and helpful and the absence of TV made this a getaway in the middle of the city. Highly recommended.

Thank you for mentioning that we have no television. Isn't it refreshing to unplug from the world just a little? Our lives are so busy with the everyday details of work and family, staying in an authentic and historic Victorian castle helps sooth the soul and refresh the mind. For years guests have agreed that television distracts from experiencing the pleasure of a delightful cup of tea over lively conversation with a fellow guest in the Parlour.

Thank you for choosing Castle Marne and thank you for sharing your experience with others. We hope to see you back someday soon.

I went to Denver for work training and I really did not want to stay at a place that I could find back home. This place was just what the doctor ordered: quaint, cozy, and not too far from downtown. The owners were wonderful and chock full of recommended eats. The breakfast was delicious (the tastiest muffins + excellent coffee) and it was so nice to come back from class to a waiting kettle of tea. Just hope the next time I visit will be for leisure so I can attend the later breakfast :)

How wonderful to hear from a business traveler! We strive to accommodate the needs of our corporate guests as well as our leisure customers. We decided years ago that a person in town for work or a convention needs Afternoon Tea as much as a tired tourist. Sitting down to a cup of tea and nibbling on a home baked treat can really take the stress of the day away. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with other business travelers. We look forward to having you back when you have more time to spend relaxing in the garden or curled up in the Parlour with a good book.

Thank you,

Melissa

Enjoyed meeting and visiting with the owners. Our dinner was outstanding as was our sumptuous breakfast. We went to celebrate a birthday and could not have been more pleased with our stay. We would like to try another room as the one we chose was a little small but clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: One of the larger rooms on 2nd floor

Thank you for choosing to celebrate your birthday with us here at Castle Marne. We are pleased you opted to enjoy our private candlelight dinner for two. As you know having the 123 year old Formal Dining room to yourself is VERY romantic and elegant. Don't wait for a special occasion, hurry back soon.

The smell of home baked bread in the evenings, friendly and very considerate owners. Loved learning the history of this wonderful castle. Location was perfect as it is close to the Capital building and museums such as The Molly Brown museum. We did receive a hug before we left and when we think of this stay, we smile and know that we will be returning for another wonderful stay in the near future. Highly recommend this B & B.
