Our stay at the Capitol Hill Mansion was like a dream come true.We stayed in the Elk Thistle on the 3rd floor and enjoyed the extra fold out bed in the couch for our son to sleep on. Every morning we also enjoyed the wonderful aromas that would come from the kitchen, that Carl and his staff had created from scratch. We were more than impressed with the home away from home feeling we received from Carl and Bailey. Can't wait until next time we get to visit. Thanks for such a great experience.

Room Tip: I got to look in several other rooms in this place and i would like to try all of them.

I just returned from my spring break stay at the Mansion. This is my fourth stay at the Mansion and each stay just gets better and better. Carl and Bailey make each visitor feel like family. They prepare amazing breakfast each morning and even cater to individual dietary needs! Each room is distinctly different but all are very comfortable. My goal is to try them all! The mansion is in a perfect location with lots of attractions within walking distance. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Denver area.

This was the most beautiful Bed and Breakfast I have ever visited. The rooms were lovely. The breakfast menu was out of this world. Hospitality over all was wonderful. I would love to come back and visit again soon.

Room Tip: You will absolutely love ALL the rooms

This place is much more than an Inn. Carl and the entire crew are extremely personable, warm, and welcoming. I've never been to a B&B or guesthouse where I have felt more "at home". That is the feeling when you walk in the door and meet everyone - and it just gets better after that!

The rooms are very tastefully decorated. Each one has it's own unique flair and blend with the amazing architectural details and period of the house. Some of the rooms are a little more basic and some are more lavish. But, they all carry the charm of the home. Carl was great about letting me see other rooms and what he has done to them or is doing to them. He is definitely a hands on operator that really enjoys what he does and his guests.

Breakfast was phenomenal! Each day the menu varied, which was kind of bad, because if you loved something, it wasn't going to be repeated (until maybe the next visit) but, you have amazing dishes, creatively prepared and served in a beautiful dinning room on the main floor.

Need a recommendation for _________ (dinner, sights to see, places to shop, wineries, micro-breweries, events) ask Carl or Bailey. They are a font on knowledge with amazing connections. They can share ideas that you wouldn't think of and because of the great locations, you can walk to!

What a great, warm, welcoming, fun place to stay!

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper floors are quieter as they are farther from the kitchen and entry way. Look...

My stay at the mansion was very pleasant. I was there for two days on buisness and had a great time. The service was very good. The location was just what I was looking and the room was very comfortable.

My wife and I were able to have a night away from our 2 young children. We decided to stay close to home. My Internet search for B&Bs resulted in a few choices and we decided on this mansion. The reservation process was easy and Carl helped answer some questions. The day came for the night away and a blizzard worked its way into the city. So glad we toughed it out. We arrived with plenty of time to check-in but decided to take a tour of the Molly Brown house right down the street. We really enjoyed our tour, then left to check-in. A letter with our name on it
was waiting for us and we got into our room, then dropped our bags off. We left to dinner and returned to our room. It was a cold night and we were so happy we were in the Gold Banner room because there is a great fire place. The pilot light was out but Carl was there in about 2 mins to get it running again. The room had a nice shower/tub, and plenty of space. We slept soundly and slept in late (never happens at home with the kids). Made our way down for a fantastic breakfast. Carl and his son really provided a terrific breakfast! I had a couple of fantastic walnut waffles. We lazed around in the main room next to the fire place until it was time for check out. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the B&B two nights while in Denver visitiing family and had a great visit. We stayed in the Bluebell suite and really appreciated the separate entrance. Breakfast was wonderful and the accomodations were excellent. Carl and Bailey are wonderful hosts. We let Carl know we needed to leave early for a flight on our last day in Denver and he offered to get up and fix us something for breakfast. In spite of us declining the offer, Carl was up when we left and offered us coffee.
