“Had a great 4-night stay here!”
Reviewed November 25, 2011

Absolutely lovely. I stayed 3 nights in one room (Forget-Me-Not) and a fourth night in another (Paintbrush). Each room was completely comfortable and beyond adequate - great beds, nice bathrooms, space to sit around, all amenities one would need. The warm breakfast was a different and delicious treat every morning, always cooked professionally and creatively - and there was always fruit, yogurt, cereal, and what not, too. Chatting with the other guests was great in the morning and during the optional wine in the evening (just mention the wine, and voila). The attentive owner and friendly staff were very concerned about my enjoying my stay in Denver, and they went out of their way to accommodate any favor I mentioned or that they otherwise divined (among others: washing some jeans for me, serving breakfast early one day, dinner recommendations, moving my things for me between the rooms, and much, much more!). In town for a professional conference, I found the location ideal - close enough to walk to downtown, quiet, and also just a walk away from many other fun areas. All of the other conference-goers that I met stayed at more expensive hotels downtown and missed out on this relaxed gem!

Room Tip: All the rooms are a good value. I saw six of them and they all looked very comfortable to me. The...

Had a ladies' get away for a show and shopping in Denver. We looked for something quiet yet in a good location. We stumbled upon this historic B & B. We had a group of 5 and rented 2 of the 8 rooms. Each room is named after Colorado flora and is beautifully decorated. We arrived, had a glass of wine, and hit the town. We stayed up chatting like old times and retired to comfortable rooms. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding and the coffee strong and hot. Carl, daughter Bailey, and cousin Bob, made us all feel welcome and at home. I will do this again for a little different twist for a weekend get-away!

Room Tip: It is in an urban setting so an interior room may have less noise. We had an exterior room and were...

We celebrated our 10 month anniversary and stayed at the Capitol Hill Mansion Bed and Breakfast Inn. What an amazing and beautiful home! The room was superb, cozy, and had a 6 foot round whirlpool tub that felt fantastic. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered a wonderful nights sleep. I would recommend this charming B&B to anyone celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or just needing a night out in downtown Denver. Great restaurants and nightlife were just steps away. This was the first time I stayed local and I would do so again in a heartbeat. Also, the breakfast was amazing...one of the best in Denver!

Stayed at the Capitol Hill Mansion in Late October for my wife's Birthday. We both enjoyed the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The inn is as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside. The room was so nice, we would have been comfortable for an extended stay. The Breakfast was amazing, we had seen the pictures and read some reviews, but it was better than expected. Thank you Carl and family for making this getaway a memorable experience.

I stayed at this great old house while in town for the Broncos game and it was AMAZING! Super hosts, rooms and food.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the rooms with a balcony.

I had a most comfortable and enjoyable 2-night stay in the Forget-Me-Not room. Innkeeper Bailey was super- friendly, organized, and accommodating, meeting all our needs with a happy "No worries!" Looking forward to another stay at the Capitol Hill Mansion next time in Denver!

I spent three very comfortable nights at the Capitol Hill Mansion in late October. The inn was spotless and the owners most hospitable; a delicious breakfast was served. It's a beautiful, historic building very convenient to museums.
