Went about 5:30 on a Friday night and place was packed. Good vibe. 2 for 1 draft beers which was great deal. Also, lots of appetizers for good prices. My husband got corned beef eggrolls which sounds bizarre but he thought they were great. Fish tacos were really good as were the beer battered chicken tenders and pulled pork sliders. Service was really good. We were out for a few hours without our kids and it was nice to be in place with only grownups!

The Irish Snug on Colfax in Denver looks like an Irish pub and backs that up with real beer, pub food and music. For larger groups try to get into one of the snugs (semi-private rooms) to get even more of the feeling. They are also good if you have children with you.

We had just arrived to Denver and were staying across the street. The area is not the best in Denver, but the food was good and so was the service. We had lunch - Shepard's Pie. Also had a really good hot chocolate!

We come to Denver once a year at the same time each year for business and stay across the street at the Ramada. We've been coming for at least 10 years and the Snug has always been one of our favorite places. It's close proximity to the Ramada across the street make it very convenient.

I have to say, however, that we miss the old place. It stil retains it's cozy pub-like atmosphere, but in many ways, it's more like a dark sports bar now with the TV's and the loud music. We miss the old Irish music and live music. It's just not quite the same. They're doing well and draw a crowd every time we're there despite the rise of lots of competition in the area, so they must be doing something right, but it used to be more fun...for us, but maybe we're just old!

We'll keep coming back and yes...they do have a great late night menu and the best Irish coffee in the neighborhood!

I have been to the Snug multiple times over the past year and have found the corned beef egg rolls to easily be my favorite appetizer. You only get two full egg rolls, cut in half to make four servings, but they are absolutely amazing. There's a great selection of drafts which are updated fairly frequently and their hot drinks (especially the Hot Buttered Rum, not so much the Hot Toddie) are fantastic in the winter. During their buy-one-get-one happy hour, they just give you a ticket for your second drink. If I don't feel like drinking both in the same night, I just hold on to the second ticket and can use it at a future happy hour for a free drink. In addition to the food and drinks, they always have some kind of activity going on. My favorite is the Irish folk music on Saturday nights upstairs. They also have trivia nights and even bingo if that's your thing. When the weather is nice, it's always entertaining to sit outside at a table. Are there any places better to people watch than Colfax? I haven't noticed the bar tenders being rude, but I typically sit at a table and the wait staff are always very kind.
