Have been to the Paramount a few times now, most recently for Big Head Todd & the Monsters. The venue has good acoustics for a rock-n-roll/jam band like BHT. (Acoustically, it also had good acoustics for Chris Isaak's band and croonings before). Occasionally, the amplifiers overwhelmed the venue, but by and large, it was appropriately amped and ready for a NYE party. The value for the money -- given the relatively high costs of other concerts -- was quite good. Drinks and intoxicatingly sweet nuts are available for purchase. In fact, the only downside appears to be Paramount's side-agreement with Coyote Ugly across the street (has a 2-1 drink special that turns out to be a "cover charge" first and then get your 2-1 drink....quite a rip-off).

This is a really great theater. Saw Big Head Todd on New Years. Show was awesome, then again BHTM show as always are.

The theater itself is really cool. I'd like to read up on the history of it. The thing that kept me from awarding that ever elusive 5th star was the $9.00 beer price. &9.00? Seriously?

The people running things were quite efficient and everything flowed smoothly.

I would go back to another show here.

Now I have been here a handful of times for various performers, this time was special as my son was performing with his rock band here so that was neat. I've always appreciated the ambience, no matter what the genre of music or large in popularity of the performer, I had no issue with views.

Spent a lot of money to see Lily Tomlin. Thought it would be great. When we arrived our row of seats were the last row of theater seats in the front. However, row A through L were comprised of folding chair which were much taller than our theater seats. We could not see due to people in front of us. We complained but nothing was done. These were obstructed view seats but not sold as such or discounted. The show was ruined because we could not see Ms. Tomlin. I will never go back and would not suggest anyone attend a show since you have no clue what you will get for seating. In addition, the drinks were small and overpriced.

Lovely old theatre with great paintings on the walls. Park in the garage near 16th and just walk right around the corner. Saw the Monkees there before Davy's passing. Wonderful!
